Throughout our lives, we are told stories. Stories that are real and stories that are make believe. I remember my son asking me as a child, "Mom, how do you know Jesus is real"? I replied by saying, "I believe the Bible is true and when I pray, I feel Jesus inside my soul". He asked me, "But what if you live your life for Jesus and go to church and it wasn't real"? I replied by saying, "oh but it's real and what if I didn't live my life for Jesus and then found out it was real"? Yes, it was a deep conversation with a little boy who just wanted to know. Then I told him to pray. Ask God for answers and make himself real to you. So he did and a few days later, he said, "mom, I talked to God and he is real".
DO YOU SEE WHAT I SEE?
There will always be questions and answers. They will always be wonder and what is true. Even if I started this stories off with, "Once Upon A Time". It would still be real to my soul. God has done too many miracles for my life and my family/friends not to believe the live of Jesus. A story of hope, love and peace. In the midst of it all, I love God with all my heart, soul and being. I just know that Jesus came to give us another chance in life. We all make mistakes, but we can certainly move forward after sin. A new day, a new hope and a new life.
The dictionary says this:
In Christian tradition, the Star of Bethlehem, also called the Christmas Star, revealed the birth of Jesus to the Biblical Magi, and later led them to Bethlehem. The star appears only in the nativity story of the Gospel of Matthew, where astrologers from the east are inspired by the star to travel to Jerusalem.
ONE STAR ~
Shining bright to lead the way.
Matthew 2 (NIV)The Magi Visit the Messiah
2 After Jesus was born in Bethlehem in Judea, during the time of King Herod, Magi from the east came to Jerusalem 2 and asked, “Where is the one who has been born king of the Jews? We saw his star when it rose and have come to worship him.”
3 When King Herod heard this he was disturbed, and all Jerusalem with him. 4 When he had called together all the people’s chief priests and teachers of the law, he asked them where the Messiah was to be born. 5 “In Bethlehem in Judea,” they replied, “for this is what the prophet has written:
6 “‘But you, Bethlehem, in the land of Judah,
are by no means least among the rulers of Judah;
for out of you will come a ruler
who will shepherd my people Israel.”
7 Then Herod called the Magi secretly and found out from them the exact time the star had appeared.8 He sent them to Bethlehem and said, “Go and search carefully for the child. As soon as you find him, report to me, so that I too may go and worship him.”
9 After they had heard the king, they went on their way, and the star they had seen when it rose went ahead of them until it stopped over the place where the child was. 10 When they saw the star, they were overjoyed. 11 On coming to the house, they saw the child with his mother Mary, and they bowed down and worshiped him. Then they opened their treasures and presented him with gifts of gold, frankincense and myrrh. 12 And having been warned in a dream not to go back to Herod, they returned to their country by another route.
