Hebrews Chapter 11
When one person says yes to God, changes things.
Hebrews 11 New International Version (NIV)
Faith in Action11
Now faith is confidence in what we hope for and assurance about what we do not see. 2 This is what the ancients were commended for.
3 By faith we understand that the universe was formed at God’s command, so that what is seen was not made out of what was visible.
4 By faith Abel brought God a better offering than Cain did. By faith he was commendedas righteous, when God spoke well of his offerings. And by faith Abel still speaks, even though he is dead.
5 By faith Enoch was taken from this life, so that he did not experience death: “He could not be found, because God had taken him away.” For before he was taken, he was commended as one who pleased God. 6 And without faith it is impossible to please God, because anyone who comes to him must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who earnestly seek him.
7 By faith Noah, when warned about things not yet seen, in holy fear built an ark to save his family. By his faith he condemned the world and became heir of the righteousness that is in keeping with faith.
FAITH ~ you can continue reading stories in this Chapter. God uses each of us for different things in life. There is no way to compare Noah with anyone else in the Bible. God had a plan for Noah to build an ark (big boat) to be safe as the storm came. Keep in mind that Noah had never seen rain before or his family. His family joined him and God did a brand new beginning.
Things around us can totally look impossible, but God has a plan. Jeremiah 29:11 A plan, A promise and A future. God knows you from the inside and knows your thoughts. A simple yes to him can open brand new doors and life changes. I am often reminded that my timing is not God's timing. I have some prayers within my heart that I want to see happen. It takes me to keep the faith and hope that this could be the day. I'm also holding on for other friends and family to see their dreams come true. A little faith goes a long way, but so does action. It takes you holding onto faith too. We must do our part in seeking God and holding on for our answers.
So many men and women within the Bible that had faith. There is good examples for us to watch and there are people who gave up. Let us not be the one who gives us, but the one who continues to press forward and keeping our faith alive. My prayers continue for you, your family and friends. I've seen too many miracles to doubt the power of God. Purpose this a good day.
