THINK ABOUT IT ~
Psalm 91 New International Version (NIV)
1 Whoever dwells in the shelter of the Most High
will rest in the shadow of the Almighty.
2 I will say of the Lord, “He is my refuge and my fortress,
my God, in whom I trust.”
3 Surely he will save you
from the fowler’s snare
and from the deadly pestilence.
4 He will cover you with his feathers,
and under his wings you will find refuge;
his faithfulness will be your shield and rampart.
5 You will not fear the terror of night,
nor the arrow that flies by day,
6 nor the pestilence that stalks in the darkness,
nor the plague that destroys at midday.
7 A thousand may fall at your side,
ten thousand at your right hand,
but it will not come near you.
8 You will only observe with your eyes
and see the punishment of the wicked.
9 If you say, “The Lord is my refuge,”
and you make the Most High your dwelling,
10 no harm will overtake you,
no disaster will come near your tent.
11 For he will command his angels concerning you
to guard you in all your ways;
12 they will lift you up in their hands,
so that you will not strike your foot against a stone.
13 You will tread on the lion and the cobra;
you will trample the great lion and the serpent.
14 “Because he loves me,” says the Lord, “I will rescue him;
I will protect him, for he acknowledges my name.
15 He will call on me, and I will answer him;
I will be with him in trouble,
I will deliver him and honor him.
16 With long life I will satisfy him
and show him my salvation.”
Staying close to God is important. Things can change suddenly and thoughts can overpower our minds. One mind we can be so happy and suddenly something changes that happiness. I have found when I put expectations on someone else and they don't follow through, I feel disappointed. I have to stop and think, should I have done just that myself? The answer is this, when God tugs on your heart to be at something, be there!
God wants to speak to you at times and not have you send a messager. ~ Sparkie
I felt this with my compelte heart this morning to share the important of you staying in the secret place of God. That place that only you have with him and only you can communicate with him. If you don't understand that completely, then keep pursuing God. His promises are real and he doesn't want us to stop believing or asking big in live. I have found that God doesn't always answer the way I think he should. Down the road of my life, I have found him constantly there and ready to hear me. He knows what is best for each of us and yet there are times when I try to guide my own self. That guiding of my own self has led to disappintments too.
I was in a church service last night and Pastor Zane spoke about words for this year. WORDS ~ Ask, No regrets, No shame and everlasting joy. I felt as he spoke a moment of freedom. There are times in my life when I felt I have forgotten somethings and it comes rushing back. You can get freedom from negative words, actions and forgiveness of your own sins. Asking and believing goes together to renew us.
As your press forward today, allow God to restore some broken places or doubts. Pop in hope and believe big. Forgive others as God has given each of us. My prayers continue for you, your family and friends.
