God made two great lights—the greater light to govern the day and the lesser light to govern the night. He also made the stars. 17 God set them in the vault of the sky to give light on the earth, 18 to govern the day and the night, and to separate light from darkness. And God saw that it was good.
STARS ~
One might shine brighter than the other, but all are needed.
In our life time, we will see stars in different ways. Some nights not so many seen with our natural eye, but we still know they can shine bright. One might stand out a little more than the other, but each one is there for a purpose. Together, they brighten the sky with light.
I would like to relate this STAR example to each of our lives. Each of us are important and our purpose is to shine for Jesus. To share hope in one day and one night. However, circumstances change our lives and we begin to change. That change can be for the good or the bad. We need that star of a person next to us, to shine. We might need that little bit of hope that we just can't see. Just like all the stars are in the sky, we need that person in our lives that spurs us on. The Bible says:
Hebrews 10:24-25 New International Version ~
And let us consider how we may spur one another on toward love and good deeds,25 not giving up meeting together, as some are in the habit of doing, but encouraging one another—and all the more as you see the Day approaching.
Together ~ we make a difference and shine brighter
We need to meet together and it's like a bunch of stars together. One light shines bright, but the more lights, the brighter the room. A room full of positive people is catchy. If one person starts laughing or sharing smiling, you will find yourself smiling. Positive thinking is important, because we all have moments of wonder in life. A lifetime friendship is more than words can say. Someone who has seen your darker days and yet knows your future in God. Someone who won't give up on you and encourages you to press forward. The Bible says:
Philippians 3:14-15 King James Version
14 I press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus.
15 Let us therefore, as many as be perfect, be thus minded: and if in any thing ye be otherwise minded, God shall reveal even this unto you.

"I" is an important part ~ I press forward
Making a big decision today to press forward into a greater day. To shine bright in the midst of it all and to count blessings beyond words. I see how far the Lord has brought me and I see that HE is everlasting. He connects us to people, but it becomes our choice to stay connected. Praying today for you, your family and friends. I'm thankful you read my blog and share it with others. Never forget how important you are in life and how much your life matters, because it does!
