Mark 3:25 New International Version (NIV)
If a house is divided against itself, that house cannot stand.
We are also divided over religion and politics. There can be such anger over which party you like, such as a republican or democratic and the list goes on. What happen to us working together and trying to do what is best for our country? I see the frustration on faces and the anger in voices when you speak of certain things of life. I try hard not to discuss religion or politics with others. I pray and do what I feel God leading me to do in voting and standing firm in doing what is right.
1 Corinthians 1:10 New International Version (NIV)
A Church Divided Over Leaders
I appeal to you, brothers and sisters, in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that all of you agree with one another in what you say and that there be no divisions among you, but that you be perfectly united in mind and thought.
Be perfectly united in mind and thought
John 3:16-17 New International Version (NIV)
For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. 17 For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through him.
I have seen much division over my length of life. I can see the good change has brought and I can see the change that wasn't good. Life presents us new opportunities daily to live the word of God and do kind things. Yet, we can not forget that the enemy (devil) goes about to destroy and bring division among us. In church, I have found pope who said hurtful words and actions. That made some quit church and vow to never go back. Yet, God can draw people back by his spirit.
The Bible says that truth can set you free. Don't be divided over church or religion. Remember we are on the same team of life, to grow in God and allow freedom to rest in our souls. The same goes for politics, we must do our best to vote the way we feel and then pray for our leaders.
After all, God is the same yesterday, today and tomorrow!
My prayers continue for you, your family and friends. Let us pray we come together in life and peace can rest in our lives, plus country.
