Jeremiah 23 New International Version (NIV)
The Righteous Branch
“Woe to the shepherds who are destroying and scattering the sheep of my pasture!” declares the Lord. 2 Therefore this is what the Lord, the God of Israel, says to the shepherds who tend my people: “Because you have scattered my flock and driven them away and have not bestowed care on them, I will bestow punishment on you for the evil you have done,” declares the Lord. 3 “I myself will gather the remnant of my flock out of all the countries where I have driven them and will bring them back to their pasture, where they will be fruitful and increase in number. 4 I will place shepherds over them who will tend them, and they will no longer be afraid or terrified, nor will any be missing,” declares the Lord.
5 “The days are coming,” declares the Lord,
“when I will raise up for David a righteous Branch,
a King who will reign wisely
and do what is just and right in the land.
6 In his days Judah will be saved
and Israel will live in safety.
This is the name by which he will be called:
The Lord Our Righteous Savior.
7 “So then, the days are coming,” declares the Lord, “when people will no longer say, ‘As surely as the Lord lives, who brought the Israelites up out of Egypt,’ 8 but they will say, ‘As surely as the Lord lives, who brought the descendants of Israel up out of the land of the north and out of all the countries where he had banished them.’ Then they will live in their own land.”

I chose to write about the topic of speak it
We need to be careful who we listen to and not allow others to treat us different than the Bible says. When we are younger, we might not realize what somethings to told us was wrong. I began to share with my friend. At the time, I thought it was right because I believe what my Pastor said. Later, I realized it was more of a cult thing. I am careful what I tell others and have become a mentor to some. My example matters and where I attend church matters. If you don't have a positive experience in church, then find a new one. God moves people for a reason. I did attend a great church before attending Hillside Christian Church in Napa. My husband and I wanted to attend the church where our kids went. They were teenagers and Hillside had a great youth department. We have now been there over 17 years and love it.
What about you? Have you been able to get over some negative leadership and find a good church? The church is about God and his purpose is to bring us together. I know it's not about a building, but it is about connected with others. A place of worship, sharing and friendships. I have made so many friendships after attending Hillside. I've allowed God to heal my hearts from many years ago but negative leaders. God has brought me to positive leadership at my church now. We have an amazing Pastors and there family, children's Pastor, Youth Pastor, Women's Pastor, Prayer Pastors and the list goes on.
I pray today that your hurts from yesterdays go quickly. I pray for the desires of your heart to be filled. I pray that you are supplies your needs and even wants of life. God is a good God and I know that he is able to handle your now. Life is truly short and living in today is so important. Live with what you do have around you and begin again if you need to. Don't let yesterdays stop you from being used by God into a new place in your heart or building. My prayers continue for you, your family and friends. Purpose this a good day!
