Moses cried out how to handle others. Read on:
Exodus 17 New International Version (NIV)
Water From the Rock
The whole Israelite community set out from the Desert of Sin, traveling from place to place as the Lord commanded. They camped at Rephidim, but there was no water for the people to drink. 2 So they quarreled with Moses and said, “Give us water to drink.”
Moses replied, “Why do you quarrel with me? Why do you put the Lord to the test?”
3 But the people were thirsty for water there, and they grumbled against Moses. They said, “Why did you bring us up out of Egypt to make us and our children and livestock die of thirst?”
4 Then Moses cried out to the Lord, “What am I to do with these people? They are almost ready to stone me.”
5 The Lord answered Moses, “Go out in front of the people. Take with you some of the elders of Israel and take in your hand the staff with which you struck the Nile, and go. 6 I will stand there before you by the rock at Horeb. Strike the rock, and water will come out of it for the people to drink.” So Moses did this in the sight of the elders of Israel. 7 And he called the place Massah and Meribah because the Israelites quarreled and because they tested the Lord saying, “Is the Lord among us or not?”
CRYING OUT ~
God answers Moses and will answer us
Crying out to God is a way to connect with him. As Moses did what God called him to do, water come out for people to drink. To true act of a miracle and people saw that was God. Seeing something often makes us more aware of the truth. How could that happen if it wasn't God? Have you ever had anything your life that was a true miracle? I have and I have witnessed it from others too. It could have only been God that created this new beginning and I knew it. I stand strong on the word of God and I like that even Jesus wept. It makes me know his emotions and actions were just like us. Human and times of tears, but times of joy. Going about doing his father's work and spreading hope to others.
This is a new day and I hope you spread some hope today to others. Even the strongest person you know needs encouragement at times of life. If someone comes to your mind, go ahead and contact them. Your words can be helpful and spread hope just by saying this, "I am thinking about you today". Maybe this, "I hope your day is good". Simple messages of texting makes others know you care. Go ahead and allow God to use your fingers and words to help someone today.
I have taught in women's ministry for many years and when I teach, I feel God stirring my heart to share something. That somethings can bring tears to my eyes both happy and sad. I have found that God uses tears to heal us and help us. God uses tears to help others see us through his eyes. Real compassion like Jesus and sharing the truth of life. Sometimes life just gets hard and we don't know words to say, but God hears our hearts. I have become a stronger person over time. Not everyone understands me and their opinions can sometimes hurt me inside, but I know who I am. We grow at different paces of life and all my years of ups and downs, brings me to this moment of life. Stronger than ever and ready to praise the Lord for all he has already done. Through it all, I have so learned to trust him.
If you have something on your heart today, cry out to God. Allow him freedom in his timing for your answer. Some answers don't come over night, but it is a process of time. My prayers continue for you, your family and friends.
