Romans 14:1-9 New International Version (NIV)
The Weak and the Strong
Accept the one whose faith is weak, without quarreling over disputable matters. 2 One person’s faith allows them to eat anything, but another, whose faith is weak, eats only vegetables. 3 The one who eats everything must not treat with contempt the one who does not, and the one who does not eat everything must not judge the one who does, for God has accepted them. 4 Who are you to judge someone else’s servant? To their own master, servants stand or fall. And they will stand, for the Lord is able to make them stand.
5 One person considers one day more sacred than another; another considers every day alike. Each of them should be fully convinced in their own mind.6 Whoever regards one day as special does so to the Lord. Whoever eats meat does so to the Lord, for they give thanks to God; and whoever abstains does so to the Lord and gives thanks to God. 7 For none of us lives for ourselves alone, and none of us dies for ourselves alone. 8 If we live, we live for the Lord; and if we die, we die for the Lord. So, whether we live or die, we belong to the Lord. 9 For this very reason, Christ died and returned to life so that he might be the Lord of both the dead and the living.
STEP INTO YOUR DAY WITH GOD
Don't forget that God remains the same
I think it's important to remember that God gives us free will. Our choices definitely affects us but others too. Verse 6 above says whoever regards one day as a special does so to the Lord. I think we should wake up and give praise for another day of life. Nobody but God knows what will happen today and exactly how our path will go. It's just like heading to a stop sign while driving. Are we going to go straight, make a left or a right? Those our our choices and each direction takes us down a road. It sounds simple but it's not. We might end up at dead end road and it takes us turning around. That split second of knowing we can not go this way anymore. I see this example our my choice in a new day. Each decision matters and I am determined follow the path God has directed from. How about you?
As we step into a new day, lets keep our mindsets upon guarding our hearts as well. It's crazy how we can feel left out of things, alone and often taken for granted. Life is so short and you must ask yourself the intent of your heart. My intend everyday is to do what is right in life, seek the Lord with all my heart and lean not to my own understanding on certain things.
I care and my prayers continue for you, your family and friends. Thank you for taking a few minutes to read this today.
