Ephesians 6:10-18 New International Version (NIV)
The Armor of God
10 Finally, be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power. 11 Put on the full armor of God, so that you can take your stand against the devil’s schemes. 12 For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms.
13 Therefore put on the full armor of God, so that when the day of evil comes, you may be able to stand your ground, and after you have done everything, to stand. 14 Stand firm then, with the belt of truth buckled around your waist, with the breastplate of righteousness in place, 15 and with your feet fitted with the readiness that comes from the gospel of peace. 16 In addition to all this, take up the shield of faith, with which you can extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one. 17 Take the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God.
18 And pray in the Spirit on all occasions with all kinds of prayers and requests. With this in mind, be alert and always keep on praying for all the Lord’s people.
So what happened ~
Putting on the full amor of God daily will extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one.
GOD IS ABLE ~
Just like this picture of Chad, Brookley and Willow above, their mask transported them into super heroes. It was fun watching them say they were super heroes. Once the mask came off, they became humans again. A slight reminder of batman powers and how childhood heroes remain heroes. Have you ever thought of yourself as a hero? Someone that others look up to and admire? People often admire us and we might not know it. Our example goes further than we might ever know in life. Be careful and make sure you put on the full armor of God daily. A positive mindset and the character of Jesus too. We change as we become closer to God and allow his holy spirit to guide us.
There comes a time when we take the mask off and see what the real person is inside. Each of us needs forgiveness by God and a new beginning too. Allow God to remove somethings in your life that is not positive. Change the things you can and let go of what you can not change. I say this often and I find it more important each day of life. Life is so short and we never know what can be next. Our example of Jesus might be the only Jesus someone sees in life. We wear different faces and are in different bodies for a reason. Each of lives holds purpose and desires.
Psalm 37:4 New International Version (NIV)
Take delight in the Lord,
and he will give you the desires of your heart.
I know somethings in life can be hard and challenging. Yet, God is the only one that can give peace in all seasons of life. I look back on my own life and see that I missed out on great moments because I choose to let circumstance guide me. Our very own decisions are so important because it can affect others too. Sometimes we must ask God to help restore the joy of our salvation in him. There is something different about knowing the scriptures above and putting them into action. I will guard my heart, my mind and my soul today in knowing what I do have through God.
Psalm 51:12 New International Version (NIV)12 Restore to me the joy of your salvation
and grant me a willing spirit, to sustain me.
My prayers continue for you, your family and friends.
