A NEW SONG!
Even if you are going through a hard place of life, a new song is important inside your mind. Daily we face changes and suddenly things happen. Choosing to sing brings joy to a heart.
The Bible says:
Psalm 96:1-6 New International Version (NIV)
1 Sing to the Lord a new song;
sing to the Lord, all the earth.
2 Sing to the Lord, praise his name;
proclaim his salvation day after day.
3 Declare his glory among the nations,
his marvelous deeds among all peoples.
4 For great is the Lord and most worthy of praise;
he is to be feared above all gods.
5 For all the gods of the nations are idols,
but the Lord made the heavens.
6 Splendor and majesty are before him;
strength and glory are in his sanctuary.
Music is known to calm people down. I heard that music even calms a beast. Soft music with no words, or music with words that help you relax. Throughout the Bible are songs of praise and words that matter. There are times when you purpose songs to be sung in your life. My granddaughters go to sleep with music being played. The music sets a calm inside their room.
Psalm 104:33 New International Version (NIV)
33 I will sing to the Lord all my life;
I will sing praise to my God as long as I live.
I WILL ~ purpose to sing.
I WILL ~ purpose to praise.
I WILL ~ purpose to relax in God and allow him freedom t make me and mold me into his image of love.
Think about a time when you felt a little sad and you heard a song come on the radio. Before you know it, you are singing along and feel happy. There is something about a happy song to your mind that just works. There is also something about a song sung unto God. As a child, I heard the song, "Jesus Loves Me". It has always been a song I love and sing when my life faces hard things and good things. It's my favorite song.
Today my family faces surgery. My husband Terry is having full knee replacement surgery. It is scary because you never know the outcome and things can suddenly happen. We choose to onto to faith and positive thinking of the outcome. It is still hard and I heard people say it's not big deal. It happens to be big deal when it is you, your family or close friend. Everyone is different and we handle things different. Our praise can bring us through hard stuff and leaning on God for strength as well. I would ask today that you pray for my husband and a quick recovery. It is normal to be nervous even if you are a strong person. A surgery affects a lot of people who care.
PRAISE ~ I give God praise today for bringing us through so many things in life. Crazy how when you are older you see things much clearly than younger years. I see that God is my source of strength and my high tower of guidance. I hope you can see that in your life too.
Readers of my blog, don't allow the enemy of your soul to steal your song. Sing loud and be proud your voice. Make a joyful noise unto the Lord ~ Psalm 100:1
My prayers continue for you, your family and friends.
