Isaiah 43:18-19 (NIV)
18 “Forget the former things;
do not dwell on the past.
19 See, I am doing a new thing!
Now it springs up; do you not perceive it?
I am making a way in the wilderness
and streams in the wasteland.
SIMPLE WAYS ~
Throughout life, there will be times of letting go. Things change around us and a new normal begins. Sometimes it happens way to soon and our hearts feel the empty moments of change. There will be time of totally letting go of something or someone. There is a fine balance in life and friendships. It is not always simple at all. It is hard to deal with some new normals and we learn to make the best of things. I totally grab onto this scripture about God doing a new thing.
I recall days of hardships. I never want to forget the things I know God has brought me through in life. I can see my doubts of life, but see the blessings of it too. So many great things have happen and I have learn to give thanks in all seasons of change. I did not like it when the doctor told me I had diabetes three weeks ago. My heart felt much sadness because I knew I had to change my eating habits, walk more daily and a new normal was about to hit my life. It's been hard. I've lost 8 pounds in 7 days. I had to learn to eat the right way and I wasn't eating right. It is a process of change for me. I told you this because anything that changes our normals, is a process of change. We learn to deal with things in a different way.
Someone told me it wasn't the end of the world because I had diabetes, but it felt like that to me. It take dedication and a made up mind to eat different. Just like serving God. It is a process of change and a made up mind to serve him. It's not a once a day things, but a total day and night thing! I will serve the Lord with all my heart.
Matthew 22:37-38 New International Version (NIV)Jesus replied: “‘Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.’ 38 This is the first and greatest commandment.
Each day we are to do our best in life. Show some kindness and share some hope to someone. Look into the mirror and tell yourself you can purpose this a great day. No matter what your life is facing, God is about to work it out. I can say this, because I've been in hard places, but I have seen the power of God work. My prayers continue for you, your family and friends.
