1 Corinthians 6:19-20 (NIV)
Do you not know that your bodies are temples of the Holy Spirit, who is in you, whom you have received from God? You are not your own; 20 you were bought at a price. Therefore honor God with your bodies.
SELF ~ I know it's important to take care of myself but I've let my eating habits to get away from me. My doctor wants me to loose weight and exercise. I have begun to walk daily more and I'm not a fan of exercise. Yet, I know that exercise is needed to keep us health. I was diagnose with Diabetes and now I'm taking it serious. I know that we get news we don't like but it can also warn us to change a lifestyle.
Our spiritual lives matter too!
God has a plan for each of our lives. He wants us to become healthy and ready for his service. I know the plan God has for my life and yet I struggle with it. I don't want to be known as the person who was going to write a book, but a person who did write a book. When I look into the mirror of my heart, I see so many heart's desires came to pass. I've also see the desires that are still there. Calling upon the name of Jesus is important to me. Taking time to read, study and plan hope on a daily bases.
Galatians 5:22-23 (NIV)
But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control; against such things there is no law.
Taking care of yourself is physical and spiritual. Purpose good thoughts and actions in this day. Take on the fruit of the Spirit and know that God wants us to live in freedom of mind, soul and being. Life is short and we never know what one day will bring. Through it all, we learn to trust in God and hold onto his word (Bible) and live according to it. Look out for warning signs and take care of you too.
My prayers continue for you, your family and friends.
