As I think upon this day and realize it is the first day Spring, I am reminded of seasons that change in our lives. Just like this tree, deeply rooted into the ground and yet a visible change, when our seasons change. Look at this tree in the picture during different seasons. It stands the same and the leaves change.

A Time for Everything
1 There is a time for everything,
and a season for every activity under the heavens:
2 a time to be born and a time to die,
a time to plant and a time to uproot,
3 a time to kill and a time to heal,
a time to tear down and a time to build,
4 a time to weep and a time to laugh,
a time to mourn and a time to dance,
5 a time to scatter stones and a time to gather them,
a time to embrace and a time to refrain from embracing,
6 a time to search and a time to give up,
a time to keep and a time to throw away,
7 a time to tear and a time to mend,
a time to be silent and a time to speak,
8 a time to love and a time to hate,
a time for war and a time for peace.
OUR LIVES CHANGE ~
I am certainly not saying life is easy or that we will understand our season of change. Just like the weather brings rain and storms, the summer brings smiles and warmth. Each season holds it's own purpose and need in our lives. I find myself wondering why so many times and yet casting down imaginations of thoughts. What we think upon matters and brings hope to our hearts is important. Our lives need to be rooted and grounds in God.
Ephesians 3:17 New International Version (NIV)
17 so that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith. And I pray that you, being rooted and established in love
Love is hard to understand at times. Someone says they love us and yet they hurt us. Someone says they will be there forever and they leave us. We are humans and we desire different things in life. I personally always wanted friends. Someone to hang out with and share life with during all seasons of life. I have those friends now and I am thankful that God connected me to amazing person who love God big and believe in greater things. There will be seasons of friends. Those who are there for a while and seem to disappear out of our lives. I can look back and see how much my life has changed after surrendering my will to God's plan. Jeremiah 29:11 A plan, A promise and A future!
God is a friend who sticks with you and never leaves you. He does allow seasons of change just like the tree rooted deep within the ground. It stands strong and weathers the seasons just fine. Let this be an example of our lives. Rooted for all seasons and yet knowing that God takes care of us. Rooted into the word of God and his examples that are made alive to us. Great women and men of the Bible who changed and their lives lived by faith are found in Chapter 11 of Hebrews.
