Mark 12:28-34 New International Version (NIV)
The Greatest Commandment
28 One of the teachers of the law came and heard them debating. Noticing that Jesus had given them a good answer, he asked him, “Of all the commandments, which is the most important?”
29 “The most important one,” answered Jesus, “is this: ‘Hear, O Israel: The Lord our God, the Lord is one. 30 Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind and with all your strength.’ 31 The second is this: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’ There is no commandment greater than these.”
32 “Well said, teacher,” the man replied. “You are right in saying that God is one and there is no other but him. 33 To love him with all your heart, with all your understanding and with all your strength, and to love your neighbor as yourself is more important than all burnt offerings and sacrifices.”
34 When Jesus saw that he had answered wisely, he said to him, “You are not far from the kingdom of God.” And from then on no one dared ask him any more questions.
SEARCH YOUR HEART ~
Love the Lord your God with ALL your heart, soul, mind and with strength. Wow that's a lot of love. Then it continues to say, love your neighbor as yourself. How do you love yourself? Do you see yourself the way God does, a mess up in life or a person who overcomes failure to live by God's word? So much to think about and being real with yourself is important. I am not different than you because our minds wonder a bit too much and we are drawn back to God by his Holy Spirit. I believe if you are reading this now, God wants you to release somethings and live in peace with him.
Look at the person in the mirror is important. What do you see and are you seeing yourself an overcomer? I do because I've gone through a lot of mistakes of life, suddenly things change and a new day is here. I am an overcomer by the word of my own testimony. I am an overcomer because God says in his word I can be. I can do all things through Christ and a new day brings that thought to me. God blesses us daily but we don't always give him that praise. Go ahead and praise up today. Put on some worship music and feel the words from the songs. Go ahead an open your Bible and see yourself victorious. One step at a time brings us to another step toward doing things right.
Today, I pray for those who need God's amazing peace to enter their hearts, minds and souls. Don't forget where God has brought you from in life and press on....
Philippians 3:14-15 King James Version (KJV)14 I press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus.
15 Let us therefore, as many as be perfect, be thus minded: and if in any thing ye be otherwise minded, God shall reveal even this unto you.
Somebody needs to hear this today. You are important and God forgives plus forgets. It's time to press on toward what's right. Let go of what you can not change and change the things you can. I say this a lot because I mean it. The devil wants you to stop and divide you from things God gave you. Fear and peace can not live in the same place. I know that the devil wants us to fear things of life. But God's voice is bigger than his and I purpose right thoughts daily.
My prayers continue for you, your family and friends.
