Philippians 4:6-7 New King James Version (NKJV)
Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God; 7 and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.
I know this bible verse and yet feel anxious when facing new things. Going to school at any grade can be hard. I hear people talking about the struggle of Kindergarten for their child, while others are facing the last year of school for their child. Each of us go through different stages of life. Whether we have a child or no children, we can pray for them. Nervous little tummies went to bed last night to wake up to face a new teacher, classmates they don't know and new normals. Children do not always know how to pray or even to pray at all. Let us do that for them today as they began a new day.
Be anxious for nothing ~ but in everything in prayer. There will be times we just trust the Lord while taking a deep breathe inside our minds. God gives a peace beyond a human understanding if we allow him to help us.
BACK TO SCHOOL ~
Brings a lot of new into our lives. New teachers inside a new class room. Each child deserves respect and someone to encourage them. I still remember my daughter's first day of Kindergarten. She stood at the door and ask me not to leave her. She had big tears in her eyes and I knew I had to go. I believe I cried far more than she did. When I went back to pick her up, she was happy and told me a new friend. It was so hard that day and yet nothing to compare to years to come. Each year brought new changes and she would one day graduated from College with a master's degree to help others.
I will never make light of someone taking their child to the first day of preschool, kindergarten or even college. All the years are valuable and no way to explain to someone else how hard things can be. Change happens to each of us. After one, one day you were in Kindergarten and now you are reading this. Never compare your life to anyone else and valuable each day of life. We do grow up to be adults and understand far more than when we were kids.
As for you, maybe you are heading off to work, doctor's appointment or something hard. Remember that God is in control and we have the opportunity to stir up some faith. Something in life as are just scared but remind yourself that God has not given us the spirit of fear but of power, love and a sound mind. What you think matters and what you speak does too. Purpose this a good day in many a difference in a positive way.
My prayers continue for you, your family and friends.
