Romans 8:28 New International Version (NIV)
And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose.
Let's be honest, somethings we just didn't want to happen in our lives. We prayed and God turned things a different way than we thought it would go. Yet, the end results has been good. There are things that happen to us that we don't get over, but we get through. Somethings just stay in our minds and it is a process of time that makes things better. I often can hear this, "TRUST THE PROCESS".
Proverbs 3:5-6 New International Version (NIV)5 Trust in the Lord with all your heart
and lean not on your own understanding;
6 in all your ways submit to him,
and he will make your paths straight.
Change happens to each of us. I was born in 1955 and I know I was an answered prayer of my mom. She wanted a baby girl and here I am. I was born the same year that Disneyland opened. I think that's a sign for me to be a fun person. We can look back on pictures of 1955 and see how Disneyland has changed too. Change is part of us and we can hold onto the good it brings.
Psalm 51:10 New International Version (NIV)
Create in me a pure heart, O God,
and renew a steadfast spirit within me.
Don't let the negative things of life over power the good. Trusting the process of change can bring about thoughts and actions. It's the in between times that matter too. I can look back at some hard things of life and see how God just brought us through them. I didn't have all the answers or know what to do, but to be still. In being still, God is always at work!
Psalm 46:10 New International Version (NIV)
He says, “Be still, and know that I am God;
I will be exalted among the nations,
I will be exalted in the earth.”
Remember some great things God has done for you today! Take moments to reflect how God just has been good to you. Let go of what you can't change today. Holding onto to negative or hurt, can only bring more hurt to your heart. God doesn't want your heart to hurt, but live in the freedom of him at work through it all. It's time to celebrate your life and a new day. My prayers continue for you, your family and friends.
