The way we think makes a difference in our everyday life. We need to guard our hearts and realize we live in a world that everybody doesn't believe the same. There is power in words and our good character makes a difference.
Proverbs 18:21 New International Version (NIV)
The tongue has the power of life and death,
and those who love it will eat its fruit.
Have you ever noticed how your thoughts turn to words? Sometimes we don't think before we speak. Then we reap some negative things from negative words. Turning our thoughts to positive and treating others the way Jesus would makes a difference. Nobody is perfect and we all make mistakes. Asking God to forgive is knowing he doesn't bring it back. I love how God forgives and forgets. Starting a brand new day or starting over happens to each of us.
BE WISE ~
Proverbs 14:1 New International Version (NIV)
The wise woman builds her house,
but with her own hands the foolish one tears hers down.
Fruit of the Spirit
I was helping in children's ministry yesterday at church. Our children's Pastor (Stacy) began to teach Kindergarten kids about the fruit of the spirit. I love the way they listened and responded to her question, "am I talking about fruit we eat"? A few kids said, "no". She began to talk about the value in words and what the Bible says about it. I saw how even little kids love the message. To know the fruit of the spirit is to live it.
Luke 6:31 New International Version (NIV)
Do to others as you would have them do to you.
Each day we have opportunities to treat others like we would like to be treated. Live in kindness and do your best daily to share the love of God. Reach out to someone today that you haven't heard from in awhile. Be in their life and not distant.
My prayers continue for you, your family and friends.
