Rejoice in the Lord always. I will say it again: Rejoice! 5 Let your gentleness be evident to all. The Lord is near. 6 Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God.7 And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.
8 Finally, brothers and sisters, whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable—if anything is excellent or praiseworthy—think about such things.
Reading scriptures can bring us hope. I love how verse 6 above tells us not be anxious about anything.
Stress of the Christmas season can come because of lack of money, wants, desires and things unseen. Expecting things from others and not getting them. Frustrations can rise when family and friends get together. Not everybody gets along or even want to be in the same rooms as others. What happen to the spirt of God and the reason for this beautiful season we share?
I rejoice daily that I wake up and have another day of life. That might sound crazy to someone else, but we never know what can happen in someone's life. God has been good to me and I've made some wrong choices of life. Wrong friendships and not enough joy in my life. I wasted time on things I could do nothing about in life. Somethings just change and we must move with that change. Not becoming a bitter person but a better person. Somethings we not my own choice and I had consequences to share because of others choices. I had my own consequences to live through because of my own. I felt to share this today because life is about living. Let go of somethings and grab onto the joy of living. I find myself saying God given me a choice to become an overcomer and I am!
Facing today with joy and a praise upon my heart. Someone text me this morning and gave me a reminder of what God has done in my life. Positive reminders are good for each of us. We have friends to spur us on and connections made by God. I value real friendships and those who care about me.
My prayers continue for you, your family and friends. Purpose this Christmas Season a good one and time things to rejoice about daily. Give praise unto a God who created all things and is able to handle your now of life.
