Psalm 23 (NIV)
A psalm of David.
1 The Lord is my shepherd, I lack nothing.
2 He makes me lie down in green pastures,
he leads me beside quiet waters,
3 he refreshes my soul.
He guides me along the right paths
for his name’s sake.
4 Even though I walk
through the darkest valley,
I will fear no evil,
for you are with me;
your rod and your staff,
they comfort me.
5 You prepare a table before me
in the presence of my enemies.
You anoint my head with oil;
my cup overflows.
6 Surely your goodness and love will follow me
all the days of my life,
and I will dwell in the house of the Lord
David wrote this and he needed to refresh his soul. Sometimes in life, we get so busy and tired in well doing. We see how God brought David through many things in life. David knew in whom to trust and he knew the answer was to dwell int house of the Lord forever. Forever is such a big word and it a meaning of lasting in life.
Even when we turn around in life, we will still find God working on our behalf. Goodness and love will follow you all the days of your life too. Finding that hope and love in God to press through each new day and counting blessings of yesterdays.
I hope you turn all your thoughts over to God today and allow him freedom to make you life refreshed. Taking away things you can not change and changing the things you can. My prayers continue for those who read this, your family and friends.
