Genesis 7:1-5 New International Version (NIV)
The Lord then said to Noah, “Go into the ark, you and your whole family, because I have found you righteous in this generation. 2 Take with you seven pairs of every kind of cleananimal, a male and its mate, and one pair of every kind of unclean animal, a male and its mate, 3 and also seven pairs of every kind of bird, male and female, to keep their various kinds alive throughout the earth. 4 Seven days from now I will send rain on the earth for forty days and forty nights, and I will wipe from the face of the earth every living creature I have made.”
5 And Noah did all that the Lord commanded him.
Think about what God asked Noah to do for a minute. A land that never saw rain and he was building a big boat (Ark). I can only image what the people of his time said to him. They might have thought he was crazy and yet Noah kept following the voice of God. You can continue to read the story of Noah in Chapter but I wanted to point out the importance of a yes to God.
ONE YES TO GOD ~
Opens not only your life up to victory but others
I remember saying yes to God in the waters of Cabo. My family and family friends were on a vacation. We walked to close to the waters and got caught off guard. My husband, Ana and myself were pulled into the waters. My daughter, son and Gonzalo ran into to save us. Their daughter Vanessa stood on the beach and said she saw no one for a long time. Then two strangers jumped into the water too. We all got out safe but it quite a life changing experience. As we thanked the strangers, they disappears as they walked off on the sand. The point of my todays story is this, we felt they were angels that helped us. In the waters, it was there that I say yes to God. I would teach and do what he had called me to, IF I had another chance.
The story continues by getting back home, our women's pastor Rene' asked me to teach a book to women on Wednesday night. I started that process in 2004 and continue teaching women today. I felt a life changing experiences in the waters of Cabo. I will never doubt the power of God, angels and miracles. There is something about the power of God and living in your yes to him.
Noah, lived in the yes to God. Many people now live in the yes to God. How about you? Do you live in your yes to God or do you make excuses. When I said yes to God to teach, it opened friendships that last a lifetime. It opened change inside of me too. I began to grow and learn more of God. I began to understand hearts of others and wanting to help women more. It wasn't just women but I help in our children's ministry too. I see the value of one day and one life. I know that your yes to God will change others as well as you. The enemy of our soul will try to stop you or me, but we can not let him. God has a plan, a promise and a future ~ Jeremiah 29:11. Let us continue to make a difference daily in lives of others and our own lives to become a better person.
My prayers continue for you, your family and friends.
