The unknown actions of rain and windy can be a challenge. We can prepare for it by putting on a raincoat, holding an umbrella and do our best to protect ourselves from the wet weather. I remember as kid, I was holding my umbrella and the wind grabbed it. It turned it inside out and I had to walk home getting wet. The windy can move things quickly into our way or out of our hands. We are to be careful in wind areas and wet weather.
Matthew 7:24-27 (NIV)The Wise and Foolish Builders
24 “Therefore everyone who hears these words of mine and puts them into practice is like a wise man who built his house on the rock. 25 The rain came down, the streams rose, and the winds blew and beat against that house; yet it did not fall, because it had its foundation on the rock.
26 But everyone who hears these words of mine and does not put them into practice is like a foolish man who built his house on sand. 27 The rain came down, the streams rose, and the winds blew and beat against that house, and it fell with a great crash.”
RAIN AND WINDY ~
I see the importance of preparing for life. We don't know what will happen in our daily life. Just like this morning, the weather said rain and at 3am, it started pouring so hard. The windy came up quickly and you heard things moving around outside. I can also relate this to my spiritual life. Suddenly thing happen and I must keep my thoughts upon the Lord. Change is not always easy, but it happens. Building your house upon the rock (GOD) is very important. Keep the faith that greater things are ahead.
Romans 10:17 (NIV)17 Consequently, faith comes from hearing the message, and the message is heard through the word about Christ.
Make sure you stay solid in God and press forward. Things will come and go but God remains the same. His words is true and powerful. My prayers continue for you (reader of my blog) your family and friends.
