Genesis 9:13-17 New King James Version (NKJV)
13 I set My rainbow in the cloud, and it shall be for the sign of the covenant between Me and the earth. 14 It shall be, when I bring a cloud over the earth, that the rainbow shall be seen in the cloud; 15 and I will remember My covenant which is between Me and you and every living creature of all flesh; the waters shall never again become a flood to destroy all flesh. 16 The rainbow shall be in the cloud, and I will look on it to remember the everlasting covenant between God and every living creature of all flesh that is on the earth.” 17 And God said to Noah, “This is the sign of the covenant which I have established between Me and all flesh that is on the earth.”
A promise by God
Rain is needed for many different reasons. Someone created an umbrella to help protect us from getting wet. We have rain boots and special clothes we can wear too. Maybe we can just stay inside and hear the rain. I actually like to open my door and listen to the rain. It brings peace to me while I write or just think. Thinking of how God made promises and keeps them. It also reminds me of how I made promises to God and maybe not fulfilled them all yet. We must be careful the things we say we will do and not do them. What has God called you to do?
Your life is purpose and planned a long time ago. God knew it would take you to fulfilled your purpose on earth and even after your gone. People remember special things about people gone before us. I remember my parents and my brother clearly. I remember how my brother taught me to live each day as it were your last but plan for tomorrow. He found out he had cancer at 37 and went to Heaven that same year. I look back to see how he taught me things, but one things he really taught me, was to have faith in God. God's plan is for each of us and we might not understand the depth of our own story. He said his wasn't one of death but life with God. I was 32 years old and didn't quite get it. I understood more as life went on.
A trust in God brings hope to each of us. Maybe we don't like the rain or the rain inside our own lives. God's plan continues and trusting him is a must. God is able to handle whatever we face. If you heard the negative doctor's report, don't give up. God is still a miracle worker. After the rain, come the sunshine and the dry of life. The dry will bring thoughts of yesterdays rain and we can begin again. I care and my prayers continue for each of the readers of my blog, your family and friends. Purpose this a good day and take care of you. You are important and never forget that.
