"His master replied, 'Well done, good and faithful servant! You have been faithful with a few things; I will put you in charge of many things. Come and share your master's happiness!'
God has given each of us talents and things to do in this lifetime. As we purpose this a good day with our actions and words, let us thank God for a new day. People are getting tired of living in this pandemic of 2020 and seem to be angry over so many things. I want to share a good story with you today that just blessed my heart.
STORY ~ IN AND OUT RESTAURANT
My husband and two granddaughters went through the drive through. We parked and I turned off the car. We ate our food and was ready to leave. The car would not turn on. My husband tried a few things but nothing was working. We saw three younger people in their early 20's leaving. The one guy walked over and ask if he could help. He offered to go buy jumper cables and come back. My husband said no because he felt that was way too much. So they left and only a little bit of time went by and they came back. Yes, with jumper cables and helped us get our car started. It was such a kind act and I held back the tears. They will never know how much one act of kindness did for us. It showed our granddaughters a great example of others too. We talked about it on our way home.
PURPOSE GOOD ACTIONS ~
Our examples do matter and shine in ways we may never know!
Matthew 5:16
New International VersionIn the same way, let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven.
What can you do today to help someone? I've been thinking about it a lot since yesterday. We can help someone by a text message of hope, a Facebook post that is positive or even a phone call. Think about someone you haven't seen in a long time and reach out. I reached out yesterday to a few people too. I miss talking to others and communication since March of 2020. After the shelter in place happen, we did not go places or even shop. We are getting out a bit now, but mostly just to my daughter's house or store or a drive through to grab food. Sometimes, we must just make the best of a new day.
I am not different than a lot of people, we want this virus to be gone and people to be well. I stay connected to my friends who are nurses and doctors. They are tired and want it all to stop as well. Each day we can purpose prayer and asking God to help each others. Making the best of a new day can be very hard for some and easy for others. Many people are living alone and so sad. Don't forget that prayer does work and pray for others. Let our actions be good ones. There are people who are going through the worse season of life. Show kindness and be an example of good.
Just like those 3 people who helped us yesterday, I immediately thought to pray good over them. Let their kindness return a million plus times. They didn't want money and it truly was an act of kindness. They don't know I'm writing about it or how this actions will help others to show kindness too.
My prayers continue for you, your family and friends.
