4 Show me your ways, Lord,
teach me your paths.
5 Guide me in your truth and teach me,
for you are God my Savior,
and my hope is in you all day long.
PURPOSE ~
The journey of life continues for each of us.
I hope I never forget where God has brought me from in life. I made mistakes and I can admit that. I know that God has forgiven me and life moves on. I have learned that I can't help how others think, but I can help what I think. My thinking leads to actions and kindness is part of that journey. Putting yourself around people who inspire you, lift you up and speak positive things is important. Then you are able to help someone else in life too. You can be a lighthouse in a life and you may not realize it.
PURPOSE ~
1 Corinthians 10:31 New International Version (NIV)
So whether you eat or drink or whatever you do, do it all for the glory of God.
Proverbs 17:22 New International Version (NIV)
A cheerful heart is good medicine,
but a crushed spirit dries up the bones.
PURPOSE ~
There will be times that don't seem so cheerful. There is something about having Jesus in our hearts that brings about peace. Living in peace can bring cheerful knowing God is right here with us. We are never alone, but there will be times when we feel alone. Feelings and emotions are part of life, but God's peace remains the same. I remember looking at older women who served the Lord. Their attitudes are church were one of praise and prayer together. One lady mentioned Proverbs 17:22 and how a cheerful heart is good like medicine. I didn't really grab onto that scripture until later in life. I see how our bodies need medicine at times, but our spiritual lives need to have the medicine of cheerful for our hearts.
One day leads to another and we wonder about the future. As I become older, I think a bit too much about aging and I don't want to miss out on living in today. God has a plan and I received that in my life. I have decisions to make daily and my choices leads me as well. I am glad that God gives us free will and I can choose a cheerful heart. How about you? Do you think a bit too much and just need to rest in knowing God has you taken care of? Maybe it's not you and you are concerned about something else. Let God guide the way and you stay prayerful. Somebody needs your prayers, your positive attitude and actions. Remember how people in the Bible need Jesus to come by?
Acts 10:38 New International Version (NIV)
How God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Spirit and power, and how he went around doing good and healing all who were under the power of the devil, because God was with him.
We need Jesus to walk with us too. He went away for us to have the Holy Spirit to lead us. Meeting together at church, school, work, and the list goes on, helps us connect with positive things. We learn, we grow and develop into a person of Jesus character. A surrendered life styles brings amazing peace inside one's heart and head. Be a person of his character and go about doing good too. Remember that we all make mistakes and it's okay to forgive yourself. Life this life with purpose!
My prayers continue for you, your family and friends.
