THE LORD is my shepherd, I shall not want.
He makes me lay down in green pastures: he leads me beside still waters.
There is a calm we all need in our lives. We need that place of rest and there is something about looking over still waters. A peace beyond a human understanding at times in our lives. We just can't allow little things to frustrate us so much. I have watched lives and I know there are many who wait on God to answer their prayers. I often hear this, "when it is going to be my turn". I have watched my own life and had the same wonders.
Psalm 23 is for the living. Go ahead and read it now:
Psalm 23A psalm of David.1 The Lord is my shepherd, I lack nothing.
2 He makes me lie down in green pastures,
he leads me beside quiet waters,
3 he refreshes my soul.
He guides me along the right paths
for his name’s sake.
4 Even though I walk
through the darkest valley,
I will fear no evil,
for you are with me;
your rod and your staff,
they comfort me.
5 You prepare a table before me
in the presence of my enemies.
You anoint my head with oil;
my cup overflows.
6 Surely your goodness and love will follow me
all the days of my life,
and I will dwell in the house of the Lord
Looking at verse 6, we see that goodness and love will follow us all the days of our life and my choice is to dwell in the house of the Lord. Keeping our minds stayed on right thoughts and remembering all the things God has already done for us in life. Each day is a chance to do things better and live in peace of mind. There is so much to gain in one day of life. I do realize that one day can be crazy hard, but lean to God. Lean to a friend who can be there for one and try hard to believe big. Our choices of thoughts makes a huge difference too.
My prayers continue for you, your family and friends.
