Matthew 7:7-12 New International Version (NIV)
Ask, Seek, Knock
7 “Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you. 8 For everyone who asks receives; the one who seeks finds; and to the one who knocks, the door will be opened.
9 “Which of you, if your son asks for bread, will give him a stone? 10 Or if he asks for a fish, will give him a snake? 11 If you, then, though you are evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father in heaven give good gifts to those who ask him! 12 So in everything, do to others what you would have them do to you, for this sums up the Law and the Prophets.
PRAYER WORKS ~
Ask, Seek and Knock
Take a moment to recall a miracle that God has already done. It's those moments that bring back the power of God. He has created each of us and uniquely made. One version of the Bible says, "masterpiece". It means you are one of a kind and so valuable.
Psalm 139:14 New International Version (NIV)
I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made;
your works are wonderful,
I know that full well.
Prayer is talking to God. I like how the Bible says to ask, seek and knock. Just knowing God is available makes me want to be available for him. It is friendship and counting on each other. I have let God down, been frustrated and make mistakes. I have asked forgiveness and started over again. I am human just like you and nobody is perfect.
Prayer sometimes taking waiting. In that waiting time, we learn and can grow into a stronger person. It might sound weird but it's true that God is in the process of life. God has done miracles for my family and have done the miracle in the waiting too. My prayers are with you, your family and friends. Be patient in the wait, hold onto faith and keep believing. God will answer!
