if my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and I will forgive their sin and will heal their land.
Turning to prayer and seeking God's face
Waiting on God to answer can sometimes be hard. His plan begins to move in your life and your find yourself in wonder. Why did it happen this way or why is it taking so long? Our humans minds wonder, but if we could only see that God is still at work behind the scenes of it all. I certainly don't understand sometimes of life, but I do understand the power of prayer. Prayer is also putting things into asking for seeking God.
Matthew 6:33 New International Version (NIV)
But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well.
One night, I remember standing outside a care home in the rain and looking up. Asking God to help me while I watched my mom get worse. I had prayed for years for understanding of my mom and just wanting to hear certain words. Those words came the night before she passed away. I will never forget how God answer that prayer of my heart and yet, I have no idea that tomorrow morning she would leave earth. We just don't know what our future holds or when our last day is on earth. I know living my days to the fullest and thanking God for time with others. Time is priceless and words of kindness go so far in lives. God has blessed me with a great family and great friends.
Looking back, I see how prayer has taken over hard things. Through it all, I have learned to praise the Lord for what I do have daily and hope for the miracles of somethings. Miracles happen and I've seen too many to doubt the power of God. People call me to pray and I honestly seek the Lord for them. I know that God is bigger, but sometimes it's still hard to reach out. Reaching out helps us not feel alone and a connect with someone else. Never let silence of waiting overcome you, but talk to someone. God places people in our lives for purpose.
We open the Bible to read about lives that went through hard things. We read about people like you and me who walk a walk of faith. Sometimes we don't see the answer but we trust the Lord. God is all his power, can move things in and out of our lives. Nobody knows exactly what today will hold but he does. I have learned to trust him and lean to him in all times. I wasn't this same person in my 30's but I have grown from each situation of life. Daily I thank God for another day of life and the courage to do what I must face. I am a stronger woman today than ever and I tell myself I can do this. This being anything that is put in front of me.
I hope today you see yourself strong and ready for a new day of blessings. Look around and see all you do have in life and how God continues to take care of you. Even in the hard times, give him praise for help. I've been in hard days a lot and I look back to see a faithful God helping me. My prayers continue for you, your family and friends. Purpose this a good day!
