Looking into a mirror shows us the reflection of ourselves. What if we could look into a mirror and see the strong person inside of us? Just like this picture of a cat looking into a mirror to see a lion. It would be a total wow moment. We don't always see ourselves strong or even have the courage to face somethings of life.
The reflection of life
Deuteronomy 31 New International Version (NIV)
Joshua to Succeed Moses
Then Moses went out and spoke these words to all Israel: 2 “I am now a hundred and twenty years old and I am no longer able to lead you. The Lord has said to me, ‘You shall not cross the Jordan.’ 3 The Lord your God himself will cross over ahead of you. He will destroy these nations before you, and you will take possession of their land. Joshua also will crossover ahead of you, as the Lord said. 4 And the Lord will do to them what he did to Sihon and Og, the kings of the Amorites, whom he destroyed along with their land. 5 The Lord will deliver them to you, and you must do to them all that I have commanded you. 6 Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid or terrified because of them, for the Lord your God goes with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you.”
7 Then Moses summoned Joshua and said to him in the presence of all Israel, “Be strong and courageous, for you must go with this people into the land that the Lord swore to their ancestors to give them, and you must divide it among them as their inheritance. 8 The Lord himself goes before you and will be with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged.”
The story of Joshua and Moses
Moses was a good example of serving the Lord. He knew the Lord spoke to him and he passed that word onto Joshua. If we could only remain in the Lord and keep these words close to our hearts too. It is powerful to think about how the Lord will never leave us. Never is a word that is powerful too. What we think about, how we react and how we trust God matters. We need others in our lifetime. God connects us and that can become a very positive thing.
Have you ever thought of what you will leave behind in life? Not just material things but your example of how you handle things. I see some people who remain spiritual and their lives isn't just a season but lifetime. People stop going to church for different reasons and see others the way they responded to them in Church. For example, I know someone who was hurt over 20 plus years ago in church, they made a mind decision not to go back. I know someone else to who went back to church after getting hurt but carry an unforgiving attitudes. They keep replay the hurt and talk about it. I think when we talk about our hurts over and over, it keeps it like a open wound. My life has experience hurt in church too, but God has given me wisdom to let go of what I can't change. I've made my own mistakes in life, but I do my best to treat others like I like to be treated. It was never God who hurt me, but humans. Humans make mistakes and church is a place of healing. How can new beginnings happen, if we can't let go of the hurt?
I hope I leave behind a legacy of faith, trust, hope and good from my life. My example is one of pain to some, gain to others and the truth. The truth will set your free and I know I'm free in God. I am not who people said I was in life, but I am an overcomer of all things. I trust beyond limits in God and I know that some people don't understand me. That's okay, but I'm doing my best daily to live the word of God and treat others with kindness. I hope that one day, the church view to some people will be completely turned around. Leaders make mistakes too and if we could only see that we are trying to make a better life through Christ.
Looking into my mirror today, I saw some more wrinkles of life but I also saw joy within my soul. God promises are true and he wants to give us the desires of our hearts. I see many desires of my heart already met, while holding on for miracles in some areas of life. Be the best you of life and let your example shine in kindness to others. What if your attitude of Jesus shines greater today than ever and your example leads someone else to the Lord? Go ahead, allow God to use your life and be that example of new beginnings to others. Sometimes it's best to listen and not talk. All of u need a friend and that's the truth. See yourself the way God does, forgiven and amazing.
My prayers continue for you, your family and friends.
