Joshua to Succeed Moses
Then Moses went out and spoke these words to all Israel: 2 “I am now a hundred and twenty years old and I am no longer able to lead you. The Lord has said to me, ‘You shall not cross the Jordan.’ 3 The Lord your God himself will crossover ahead of you. He will destroy these nations before you, and you will take possession of their land. Joshua also will cross over ahead of you, as the Lord said. 4 And the Lord will do to them what he did to Sihon and Og, the kings of the Amorites, whom he destroyed along with their land. 5 The Lord will deliver them to you, and you must do to them all that I have commanded you. 6 Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid or terrified because of them, for the Lord your God goes with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you.”
7 Then Moses summoned Joshua and said to him in the presence of all Israel, “Be strong and courageous, for you must go with this people into the land that the Lord swore to their ancestors to give them, and you must divide it among them as their inheritance. 8 The Lord himself goes before you and will be with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged.”
What has God called you to do in life? Do you realize that others watch you and your example is bigger than you might now. I wanted to write on the power of God today. There is power in your prayers and your actions. God spoke to say in verse 6: Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid or terrified because of them, for the Lord your God goes with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you.”
POWER!
When I think of the word power, I think about super heroes. Many have their capes, known to protect and power beyond a human. When I think of the power that God gives us, I think of prayer and holding still while God answers. I think of God's miracle working power and his ability to keep us in all times of life. What do you think about when you think of God?
Maybe in life you have been let down by God or still holding onto a dream. I have been there in life too, but I find God and his power to remain the same. God didn't let me down, I have let him down and I have stop believing at times. When I stirred my faith back up, I find peace and rest in knowing he was at work behind the scenes. Sometimes an unanswered prayer is really a answered prayer.
Over time I've changed and changed for the better. Resting in knowing God's power is real, is able and I trust his decisions for my life, my family plus friends. Holding onto to God's promises and seeing how far he has brought my life. I hope you do too. My prayers continue for you, your family and friends.
