So many things in life brings people stress. The stress of the unknown and the results of things suddenly happening. The Bible speaks of being a peace in many way, because God wants to have peace and live in it. Think about it, what happens when you suddenly are hit with hard news? What is your react and is your first thought to pray about it? Even since I became a mom, I realized my first thoughts where to ask Jesus for help. I would call upon his name and then ask others to help me pray. I have learned to let peace rule my heart, while tears often flow down my face. It's life for me and I trust God with all my heart.
Proverbs 3:5-6 New International Version (NIV)
5 Trust in the Lord with all your heart
and lean not on your own understanding;
6 in all your ways submit to him,
and he will make your paths straight.
This doesn't mean that stress doesn't come to me because it does. I am human and feel the weight of things too. I think it's good to be real with others because everything is grand. It takes me pressing through to God and knowing he is able. I've heard the bad doctor's reports and I've seen miracles of life. The bad doctor's report turns to good. It's a true miracle!
I think that peacemakers is also a word that help me live in peace. Peace in knowing the God who created the world and each of us, is able to handle my now just fine. My own thoughts turn into positive actions and that brings peace. I feel blessed to know that I am not only a peacemaker, but I have learned to live in peace of mind.
Romans 12:1-2 New International Version (NIV)
A Living Sacrifice
Therefore, I urge you, brothers and sisters, in view of God’s mercy, to offer your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and pleasing to God—this is your true and proper worship. 2 Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is—his good, pleasing and perfect will.
Philippians 4:7 (NIV)
7 And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.
Purpose to live in peace of mind and have a great day! My prayers continue for you, your family and friends.
