Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid.
We never know what will happen in one day. I often think how people take their health for granted. What happens when a suddenly thing hits you either for a season or for life? We quickly turn to the God we trust and know he is able to help us. I started thinking over life and how God has given peace in the middle of things that suddenly happen. As I begin to pray, it stirs up the communication between God and myself. Although, I quickly call family and friends who know will pray too.
Matthew 18:19-20 New International Version (NIV)
19 “Again, truly I tell you that if two of you on earth agree about anything they ask for, it will be done for them by my Father in heaven. 20 For where two or three gather in my name, there am I with them.”
Reaching out to God is our source of strength. We can trust someone if know them. Think about it for a minute, would you truly trust a stranger? Maybe in someways, but not with your heart or your soul. It takes time to get to know someone and it takes communication. I know that daily I listen to praise music and it calms my soul. I love the words, but it also puts a joy in my heart. It brings peace within and I wanted to share today the importance of praise.
We can not just ask God for things and pray only when we need something. We must praise him daily and show him the love back as he continues to show us. Reading the Bible is important and it plants scriptures of hope within us. I had times of needing someone else to hold on for me, when my situation was so bad. I can recall many friends who encourage me through things and today I am a stronger person because I've learn to communication with God, family and friends.
Proverbs 3:5-6 New International Version (NIV)
5 Trust in the Lord with all your heart
and lean not on your own understanding;
6 in all your ways submit to him,
and he will make your paths straight.
Nehemiah 8:10 New Living Translation (NLT)
~ for the joy of the Lordis your strength!”
A cheerful heart is good medicine, but a crushed spirit dries up the bones.
If we could only see how important joy and a happy heart is for us. It is like medicine and helps us through every day of life. Go ahead today and purpose some praise time. Go ahead today and purpose counting blessings in your life. It is so easy to see the negative or the things that have not happen yet. Let us see the good today and share life with a happy heart.
My prayers continue for you, your family and friends.
