Romans 12:1-2 New International Version (NIV)
A Living Sacrifice
Therefore, I urge you, brothers and sisters, in view of God’s mercy, to offer your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and pleasing to God—this is your true and proper worship. 2 Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is—his good, pleasing and perfect will.
PEACE OF MIND ~
Resting in the plan of God
God is at work in our lives and know that. Sometimes we just don't see him at work, but he is. Life is so short and we must purpose good days. We look around and we see things closely daily. We are living in the year 2020 and shelter in place because of a virus. This virus is killing many. People focus on their own lives a lot, instead of being in prayer for those who are sick and those working with the sick. As I hear stories after stories of lives changed, I am reminded that God is keep so many away from sickness by staying home. Yet, our economy is down and people need food plus money. It the focus of it all that makes a difference to me today. If I think on the negative, I get stressed and worried about life to come. If I think on the positive, my mind goes to peace.
PEACE OF MIND ~
It is sitting on a beach and listening to the water move.
Right now, we can not go to a beach in California. They are shut down because of social distancing. People are shut away from the things they love and yet, another day comes. It is as if we are living the movie "Ground Hog Day". I know that someday this will end and become history for generations to come. Just like the 1918 Flu illness. Over a hundred years ago, our families went through a hard time too. A life changing time and written in History. This too will be written in History. Be patient, be prayerful and be safe. God is able to find a cure for this virus this day.
Lamentations 3:22-23 English Standard Version (ESV)22 The steadfast love of the Lord never ceases;
his mercies never come to an end;
23 they are new every morning;
great is your faithfulness.
PEACE ~
I'm not sure what brings you peace, but purpose that. Purpose time of thinking on good things and positive thoughts this day. Take a walk if possible or sit in a chair and count blessings. If your driving somewhere today, drive with a worship song on in your car and sing. Singing brings joy to my soul and it brings peace of mind as well.
My prayers continue for you, your family and friends.
