OUTSIDE ~
Genesis 1 New International Version (NIV)
The Beginning
1 In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth. 2 Now the earth was formless and empty, darkness was over the surface of the deep, and the Spirit of God was hovering over the waters.
3 And God said, “Let there be light,” and there was light. 4 God saw that the light was good, and he separated the light from the darkness. 5 God called the light “day,” and the darkness he called “night.” And there was evening, and there was morning—the first day.
OUTSIDE ~
There is something about light that is so refreshing
I have found that the joy of doing what we like makes our heart happy. Just looking at my husband fishing, makes me smile. It's not what I like but he totally loves it. I can be outside and just sitting in the warm sun that makes me happy. Isn't it great that God created the warmth of a sun and outside. We do need inside but being outside is fun during the summer months.
How about the winter months of life? We need the rain and we can see the affects of it later. Beautiful flowers, hills, trees, lakes and so much more. Think about it, during the rain we don't always like it but it's so necessary. Let me change this up to our own lives. Things happen that seem like rainy days, but later on, we can see positive from it. We sometimes need to see outside the box to find the rainbow. Isn't it great that God paints a rainbow in the sky and we are reminded of his promise not to flow the earth again. We are reminded that his power is real and only God can create and end things. Life is a precious gift and never to be taken for granted.
One thing that happens in life outside is playing. Kids love to play, adults love to barbecue and park time can happen. Even if it's not a park, kids are outside enjoying life. I find some kids love to stay inside and play electrical devices. When I was a kid, there were no iPhones, computers but we could build with blocks, board games or go outside to ride bikes. Life has changed but God has not changed. He is the same yesterday, today and forever.
I am praying now for you who read my blog, your family and friends. I realize that things happen suddenly and we taken to a different spot of life immediately. Yet, God remains faithful and promises are forever. God created light for a purpose and inside of each of us are gifts God gave us. Don't forget to use your gift in a positive way. Life connects us in different ways. Be encouraged today and shine for the Lord. Speak words of life to others. Purpose this a good day!
