There is something about being outside that brings joy to my soul. The beauty of outdoors and enjoying moments of life. I love how sitting on a bench and looking around can bring peace to my life. I see the beauty of a new day, green trees and knowing God is a peacemaker. God wants our hearts to be at peace with others. As I said before, I love opening my front door and hearing birds sing. I never take that for granted. It brings peace to my soul and I want to live in kindness daily.

Salt and Light
13 “You are the salt of the earth. But if the salt loses its saltiness, how can it be made salty again? It is no longer good for anything, except to be thrown out and trampled underfoot.14 “You are the light of the world. A town built on a hill cannot be hidden. 15 Neither do people light a lamp and put it under a bowl. Instead they put it on its stand, and it gives light to everyone in the house. 16 In the same way, let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven.

There is something about fresh air.
Have you ever heard this, "you are a breathe of fresh air"? There is something about you that shines and people enjoy being around you. I had this said to me when I volunteer at Donaldson Way Elementary School. I have many teacher friends this, parents and the principal. It is nice feeling that you are making a difference in lives. I love that God said we are the sale of the earth. Think about that as a flavor that is needed on foods we eat. Last night I made my husband some potatoes and added sea salt. He said the potatoes are sure good. I happen to know it was the sea salt that made the difference. Do you ever think of yourself as salt? How that little bit of you can make such a big difference in someone's life today? I do think about think and I know the importance of staying positive and sharing Jesus to others.
Thinking about the goodness of God and joy in my heart. I ask the Lord for peace during this shelter in place time. The news can stress me out and I try to only listen to the short version of things. I do follow the rules and staying out of stores since I am 65 years old. I ask the Lord for joy and he gave it to me. I know that peace only can come from the Lord and I know that it is good to make the best of each new day.
