Jesus Calms the Storm
Then he got into the boat and his disciples followed him. 24 Suddenly a furious storm came up on the lake, so that the waves swept over the boat. But Jesus was sleeping. 25 The disciples went and woke him, saying, “Lord, save us! We’re going to drown!”
26 He replied, “You of little faith, why are you so afraid?” Then he got up and rebuked the winds and the waves, and it was completely calm.
27 The men were amazed and asked, “What kind of man is this? Even the winds and the waves obey him!”
ONE VOICE ~
Suddenly things change
Have you ever had a situation in life and suddenly your plans change? Of course you have, because it has happen to all of us at some point. Maybe we thought we were going to a certain place and the weather changed those plans. Maybe we thought we were going to dinner with someone and suddenly those plans changed. I had made plans to go a Fair with a boyfriend and suddenly we heard a noise in our house that changed my family's life forever. My dad had a sudden heartache and died inside our home. I was visiting with a friend yesterday and I saw a young man who was 18 years old when his mom died suddenly inside their home. I could relate to that ugly feelings of loss and so much more. He put a smile on his face and said it was good to see me. Yet, we when see each other, there is a reminder of the past and our losses of parents.
ONE VOICE ~
My voice and your voice makes a huge difference in this life
Never let anyone silent your voice. I have been hurt and words of others made me want to withdraw from church and people. But God, suddenly came on the scene of my life and little by little brought me back. I have been in my church now for over 16 years and a leader. A leader of one that teaches overcoming everything and becoming you in God. Yes, one voice makes a huge difference but make sure it's the positive voice. The negative voices within us at times can stop us from doing the will of God. It can stop us from living a life of freedom. A new beginning happens everyday when you say ok God, here I am. Use my life to your glory and help me to guard my heart.
Proverbs 4:23 New International Version (NIV)
Above all else, guard your heart,
for everything you do flows from it.
My prayers continue for you readers of my blog, also for your family and friends. I know that life's situations can come up suddenly and we are faced with handling things we never thought about in life. A death of someone brings much sorrow and hard to deal with inside of us. Each of us handles things different but loss is loss and I know that well to clearly. So today, let us plant our thoughts upon a God who handles life and death. He knows exactly when we will be born and exactly when we will die. The home of Heaven is a possibility after we have asked forgiveness of our sins and press toward him. Those left behind us are sad and deal with their emotions, but I hope that they will see something good from my life and your life to want the same thing ~ JESUS!
