2 Peter 3:8(NIV)
But do not forget this one thing, dear friends: With the Lord a day is like a thousand years, and a thousand years are like a day.
God speaks about days and years. We can learn from yesterdays of life. Somethings will get so much better and sometimes we miss the good old days. I miss my children being little and yet, I enjoy my grandchildren more than words can say. With having a cell phone, it takes pictures too and you can face time someone. My grandchildren call me and I can see their faces. I often cry when they hang up and they don't know that. I see how fast life moves and how important one day is in life. Let's look at what God did for us. He made a plan and scheduled out his days.
DAY 1 ~ DAY 7 HE CREATED in the book of Genesis:
Night and Day, Sky and Sea, Land and Vegetation, Stars-Sun-Moon, Sea creatures, Animals and Man Kind, REST.
Just like the phones change over time, so does our lives. We can learn and grow from the past. We can open the Bible to read about the Beginning of time in Genesis. We can hold fast to the unknown as well by knowing God is in charge. Nothing is too big for God and yet we are concerned about things. We have opportunities to read books, learn more and purpose right thoughts. Today, I am calling God to help me rest in his will. I see how he created in Genesis but he also creates everyday for us. The bottom line to life is rest. Resting knowing it is good for you physically and mentally. Rest in your spiritual life too. I am reading a book called, "Finding God Faithful" by Kelly Minter. A great book on the life of Joseph and it can be applied to each of our lives now. Time in the word or in a good book, brings hope to the soul and rest to the mind.
PICK UP THE PHONE ~
Call upon God today for ALL Things. It's time to purpose conversations with him and he never changes! That's right, a God of his word, promises and new day. Today is filled with hope, peace, love, joy and all good things. You have free will on what you think about in life. Bring to pass a conversation with God about thanking him for all the things you already have in life. A friend who sticks closer than a brother. My thoughts and prayers continue for you, your family and friends.
I love looking at my old phone that dials. It reminds me of how change is good and how far God has brought the telephone. That change was good and how God never changes!
