Psalm 139:14 New International Version (NIV)
I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made;
your works are wonderful, I know that full well.
ONE MORE DAY ~
Be confident in who you are in life. If you keep telling a little child he/she is smart, they will believe you. I have always told my granddaughters how smart they are. Yesterday, Brookley told she was smart and she loves school. Willow who is two years younger than her, compares her life to not being as smart as Brookley. I was talking to their principal yesterday at recess time about it. Willow walks up and the principal told her never compare your life to your sister, because she has had two more years of school. You are smart and I am glad you came to read to me. Willow smiled so big! Willow was the travel author last week. That is where 4 kids get picked to go read to other classrooms and the principal. It just perfect timing for Willow. Her and I talked bout it last night and another big smile came on her face.
Have you ever compared your life to someone else? I certainly have and it's hard to battle those thoughts of not being good enough or wishing you were smarter in younger years. There is a saying I heard when I was a kid, "If I knew then what I know now, I would have done things different". I didn't understand it as a kid, but I do now. I embrace my age of 62 and learning to stop wishing, but making things happen instead.
Life is so short to compare our lives or wish we had more. How about we live in today and count some blessings of all we do have. Maybe I am not as smart as someone else, but I am smart. Maybe I am not cute as someone else, but I am fearfully and wonderfully made. I am exactly who God created me to me and my choices make a difference.
ONE MORE DAY ~
God is molding you, as you surrender your life to him.
Isaiah 64:8 New International Version (NIV)Yet you, Lord, are our Father.
We are the clay, you are the potter;
we are all the work of your hand.
Speaking positive things over yourself and let it spread out to others. Being confident in who you are today and knowing that yesterdays were never meant to stop you, but you grow you. Just like beautiful flowers, each of us are different and beautiful in our own way. Stop comparing your life and live the one you have been given. It's okay to look at someone and let them inspire you in life. We have mentors and leaders for a reason. Just don't forget you are a leader too. People watch our lives and form opinions of us. I hope that others see Jesus in me and that I am human too.
I make mistakes, ask forgiveness and purpose to let somethings go. I can't be everything to everyone, but I daily do my best. Life isn't a test but a journey. Each day brings us things we must deal with and our influence on others is huge. I am glad you connected to my blog and my life. My prayers daily are with you, your family and friends. Purpose this a good day!
