Bible ~ You are not too old to begin
Isaiah 46:4 (NIV)
Even to your old age and gray hairs
I am he, I am he who will sustain you.
I have made you and I will carry you;
I will sustain you and I will rescue you.
RESUE YOU ~
Think about it a few minutes, what does it mean to rescue someone? It means to help or come in an emergency of life. I hear it now, "hold on, I'm coming". Life moves so quickly by us, we must not forget that we are never to old to dream a new dream or begin again. Are you walking in the center of God's plan?
I remember a time in Cabo in 2004, when I spoke words to God meant something then and now. I promised him if I had another chance in life, I would teach and do what he has called me to do. We were on vacation and got caught in a riptide and it pulled us into the waters. I can't swim and my husband held on tight while my family and friends jump into the waters to save us. So here I am, writing daily and teaching since 2004. I went to a John Bevere service where he spoke about this: Are you doing what God has called you to? It made me think, because I know I am to write a book and I have never felt qualified to do that. I think it is because even in my writings to you, people has commended on my spelling, my words and I should not say somethings. But do I listen to people or to God? My answer is God and I must begin again.
John Bevere is a gifted speaker and well known for his books/ministry. He wrote a book years ago, but felt to release it again titled, "Driven by Eternity". He writes, "One day you will stand before God and give an account of your life. The most important question you can ask yourself now is, will you be ready?Most Christians know their response to the cross determines where they will spend eternity. But did you know that how you’ll spend eternity is determined by what you do in this life? God wants you to discover your calling—He’s not trying to keep you in the dark. In fact, He longs for you to find the meaning and purpose that comes with knowing why you’ve been placed on this earth.
In Driven by Eternity, best-selling author John Bevere uses an eye-opening allegory and extensive Scripture to unveil how our daily choices shape our eternal existence. Life beyond the final breath is much more than a destination. Don’t wait until it’s too late. Discover your God-given destiny and make your life count both today and forever."
RESUE YOU ~ I highly recommend you read this book and make sure you life is lined up to what God has called you to do in life. I don't want to miss out on things because I'm too busy or I don't listen. I want to act upon what I know to be true ~ God's word!
Throughout History, we find lives that were changed totally by one decision. A decision to serve God and to make better choices. One life which could you or me, driven by God's word. Jeremiah 29:11 A plan, A promise and A future. In life, we have too much to gain than to loose serving God. His plan begins to unfold and we can see a light at the end of a tunnel.
Never let anyone tell you that you can't do it, if God has said to do it. There is a real enemy of our soul that wants to divide us, stop us and quit. It is also a God who gives added strength, encouragement and wisdom to know when to do something in life. Reading a good book brings life unto our soul. Spending time with those we loves and sharing hope is a new day.
Too many people stay stuck in their past and don't feel the freedom that God gives. It is true that God forgives and forgets our sin. It is true that some people never let us forget our past and some who never forgives us either. Life moves too fast not to live in freedom of the holy spirit and knowing that greater things are in this day. Yes, a day that God has created just for you to live in freedom of mind. Go for it, trust God and live in freedom.
My prayers continue for you, your family and friends.
