Jesus met one woman at The Well and it changed her life!
If you don't know the story of the woman at The Well, it can be found in the book of John chapter 7. A woman who had sinned and had a talk with Jesus. Much like each of our stories of life, Sin is sin and forgiveness can happens. Having a talk with Jesus makes a difference and the surrender of your heart to him.
John 4:7-10 New International Version (NIV)
Jesus Talks With a Samaritan Woman
7 When a Samaritan woman came to draw water, Jesus said to her, “Will you give me a drink?” 8 (His disciples had gone into the town to buy food.)
9 The Samaritan woman said to him, “You are a Jew and I am a Samaritan woman. How can you ask me for a drink?” (For Jews do not associate with Samaritans.
10 Jesus answered her, “If you knew the gift of God and who it is that asks you for a drink, you would have asked him and he would have given you living water.”
11 “Sir,” the woman said, “you have nothing to draw with and the well is deep. Where can you get this living water? 12 Are you greater than our father Jacob, who gave us the well and drank from it himself, as did also his sons and his livestock?”
13 Jesus answered, “Everyone who drinks this water will be thirsty again, 14 but whoever drinks the water I give them will never thirst. Indeed, the water I give them will become in them a spring of water welling up to eternal life.”
15 The woman said to him, “Sir, give me this water so that I won’t get thirsty and have to keep coming here to draw water.”
ONE PERSON ~
We are talking today about a life changing experience. Reaching out to Jesus and trusting him to change your life. Even in impossible situations, God changes things. Jesus came into the woman's life right on time at The Well. He spoke of living waters and a relationship with God. There was much to offer and a life changing experience. The same holds true today in God. He connects our lives to someone else and we don't walk this journey alone. We walk it with a new attitude of life after surrendering our hearts to God.
This story above is about a woman, but men listen up, God wants to enter your hearts as well. He has a plan, a promise and a future for each of us ~ Jeremiah 29:11. We must listen to God and we must act upon his words. We can listen forever, but the Bible speaks of being a doer of the word (Bible).
James 1:22-25 King James Version (KJV)
But be ye doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving your own selves.
ONE WOMAN ~ ONE MAN
Makes a difference! Each of us have sinned and it becomes time to change. Not everyone who calls themselves a Christian, is one. So be careful who you listen to and what you believe. Hold the Bible as your roadmap to Heaven, a guide to daily living and speaking words of life unto yourself.
It's time to stop thinking about yesterday and start thinking about now. This moment in time that God has connected you to this page to press forward. No reason to replay things you can not change and certainly change the things you can.
God is right here, right now and wants the best for you. He connects you to this page and he knows that your life will be encouraged. I don't know what you are facing today, but God does. My prayers continue for you, your family and friends.
Purpose this a good day!
