Search Me, O God, and Know My Heart
To the choirmaster. A Psalm of David.
O Lord, you have searched me and known me!
2 You know when I sit down and when I rise up;
you discern my thoughts from afar.
3 You search out my path and my lying down
and are acquainted with all my ways.
4 Even before a word is on my tongue,
behold, O Lord, you know it altogether.
5 You hem me in, behind and before,
and lay your hand upon me.
6 Such knowledge is too wonderful for me;
it is high; I cannot attain it
ONE DAY CLOSER ~
Trusting the Lord is often easier said than done
We travel roads of life that lead us to our now. Each of us hold different experiences and learn different. It's exciting to see how far God has brought one life. We can through similar things, but often so different. I remember a friend once said, see you see the green tree like I do? I said, "yes, I see the green tree". But we see the green the same? Well, it made me think. I don't know how that person saw the green but I know the green I saw. It leads me this question. Do you see Jesus, the way I see Jesus? I don't really see a face, because I don't know if the face people drew of him to be his face. I know his character from the Bible. Words that describe him and actions that he did.
Do people know your character? Does your example shine even when people just think about you? I have people who don't like me, but most do. Words that can cut to the bone because they judged me wrong in years past. Words that can grow me and the Bible that gives me freedom. We can't make people like us or agree with us, but we can live a life of freedom in God. We can know the truth and live in that.
John 8:31-32 English Standard Version (ESV)The Truth Will Set You FreeSo Jesus said to the Jews who had believed him, “If you abide in my word, you are truly my disciples, 32 and you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free.”
We are one day closer to freedom in our shelter in place life style. I am careful of coming into contact with others who have the virus. I am doing what the government says by staying home. We are living in a different place of time. It does feel like we are living the movie Ground Hog Day. It just repeats its self but yet it is so different. We have a new day, a new chance to make a difference and give praise to God. Let us not forget that yesterday was Easter and a reminder that Jesus came back to forgive our sins and live in freedom of life. We can purpose this a good day and count blessings.
My prayers continue for you, your family and friends.
