Once upon a thought ~
One thought leads to another and what we retain matters. Let us never forget that Jesus loves us. I remember how I needed to know that years ago. His love is real and remains the same. Each of our thoughts matter because they lead to more.
John 3:15-17 New International Version (NIV)
15 that everyone who believes may have eternal life in him.”
16 For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. 17 For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through him.
Once upon a thought ~ eternal life
Someday we will reach Heaven and none of this craziness on earth will matter.
It is all the in-between days of birth to death that adds to our lives. Change happens for each of us but I have found what we think about matters so much. There is something about flashbacks of yesterdays that can run our thoughts. That can be good or bad in different ways. God has given us a way out of sin by asking Jesus to forgive our sins (mistakes) and asking him to come into our lives. I've talked to a lot of people over time and some people don't forget themselves for their own choices. God came to change the world, not command the world.
John 3:17-19 New International Version (NIV)
For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through him. 18 Whoever believes in him is not condemned, but whoever does not believe stands condemned already because they have not believed in the name of God’s one and only Son. 19 This is the verdict: Light has come into the world, but people loved darkness instead of light because their deeds were evil.
NEW THINKING ~
Ephesians 4:22-24 New International Version (NIV)
You were taught, with regard to your former way of life, to put off your old self, which is being corrupted by its deceitful desires; 23 to be made new in the attitude of your minds; 24 and to put on the new self, created to be like God in true righteousness and holiness.
It's time to forgive yourself, forgive others and allow God to guide your life. Maybe you already do this but you know someone who just can't seem to forgive themselves. Share some hope with them today and remind them that we all have made mistakes (sin) and new beginning happen. Life is too short to stay stuck in a mistake or sin. I love that God gives us freedom in him.
My prayers and thoughts continue for you, your family and friends.
