Romper Room was a children's TV show from 1953 to 1994. As I kid, I would wait for Ms. MaryAnn to say my name. She would hold up a magic mirror and then asked this, "has all my kids had fun at play?" Then she would continue to say names and then say, "Of course I see you".
I remember wanting my name to be said, but so happy that she said, "OF COURSE I SEE YOU". Making one little kid so happy and feel as if the person inside the TV box was speaking directly to me! A wow kid moment.
ONCE UPON A LIFE ~
I SEE
As I grew up, I would look into a mirror and not see magic at all. I would see a sad little kid who wanted to go outside to play. I would hear kids laughing and playing, but I had to stay inside. My mom never wanted me to get hurt and shelter me from so much in life. Life would move on and I would grow up. I would take on somethings that I thought were normal, but I also would break away from a negative thought pattern. What we think about really does matter!
Romans 12:1-2 NIV A Living Sacrifice
12 Therefore, I urge you, brothers and sisters, in view of God’s mercy, to offer your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and pleasing to God—this is your true and proper worship. 2 Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is—his good, pleasing and perfect will.
Turn and proper worship is to let your body become a living sacrifice. I find that many people watch our lives. There are people who truly know us and can tell when something seems wrong. It takes each of us to renew our minds and start a new thought pattern. Remember the enemy of your soul wants you to stop believing big and living your life in sacrifice. Let us remember:
John 10:10 NIV
The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy;
I have come that they may have life,and have it to the full.
ONCE UPON A LIFE ~
I PUT AWAY CHILDISH THINGS
1 Corinthians 13:11 NIV
When I was a child, I talked like a child, I thought like a child, I reasoned like a child. When I became a man, I put the ways of childhood behind me.
Growing up isn't always easy. We carry some baggage from our children into adulthood. I wasn't a Christian growing up and I thought my normal was just how people lived. As I grew older, I realized that lives were so different and yet all purposed. God gives us free will, open minds to serve him and an opportunity for him to use our lives. Freedom isn't always free, because we go through things first. Asking forgiveness and believing God really forgives. Serving with an unselfish heart and letting go of what we can not change. God is good all the time and all the time God is good!
Purpose this a good day!
My prayers continue for you, your family and friends.
