I think of the Wizard of Oz and think of this statement:
Lion ~ Tigers ~ and ~ Bears Oh My!
The movie was based upon a search for something greater. A little girl (Dorothy) who gets hit on the head during a tornado and ends up on a yellow brick road in search of the wizard of Oz. She would find a scarecrow along the way who wants a brain, a tin man who wants a heart, and a cowardly lion who wants courage. They would join forces and follow the yellow brick road.
The story continue but I want to stop here. The point of this message to keep going. There will be things in life that makes us want to say, "OH MY", but we must press forward! We can not loose heart, nor loose courage and we must continue to use our brain. There will be things in life that scare us along the road of life. The Bible says:
2 Timothy 1:7 ~
For God gave us a spirit not of fear but of power and love and self-control.
2 Corinthians 10:5
Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ;
Bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ
Psalm 25:1-7 (NIV)
1 In you, Lord my God,
I put my trust.
2 I trust in you;
do not let me be put to shame,
nor let my enemies triumph over me.
3 No one who hopes in you
will ever be put to shame,
but shame will come on those
who are treacherous without cause.
4 Show me your ways, Lord,
teach me your paths.
5 Guide me in your truth and teach me,
for you are God my Savior,
and my hope is in you all day long.
6 Remember, Lord, your great mercy and love,
for they are from of old.
7 Do not remember the sins of my youth
and my rebellious ways;
according to your love remember me,
for you, Lord, are good.
Once we give our hearts to God, we walk in a new way of thoughts. We walk in the ways and we learn daily in all things. It does not mean their won't be challenges along the way or even points of disappointments. So much happens in one day and we learn to trust in God. We all make mistakes in life and sin. God has a way of bringing us out of trouble and sitting our lives on a path he wanted for us. Doing what is right, is just right.
Keep a teachable attitude in life. God wants us to continue to learn, to surrender and walk a road pleasing unto God. My prayers and thoughts continue for the readers of my blog, your family and friends. God is good all the time and all the time, God is good!
