Time goes by so quickly and there are times when we wished we had stood up for ourselves. I can look back and see the time so clearly now, but I was young and didn't realize the importance of speaking up. Some of us are really shy and the way we grow up molds us into teenagers and then adults. Taking some of those thoughts and now transferring them to being an adult. I had adult moments when I didn't realize the importance of speaking up for myself. Leaving my heart a little troubled and the wonder of it all.
I remember dating in high school and asked the question, "do you believe in God". I said, "I'm not sure, but I can not say there is no God". My boyfriend said, "you need to say there is no God or we need to break up". I found myself in a hard situation and yet I felt I could not say that. So we broke up and that was the end of talking forever. I knew deep within my heart that God was real, but I wasn't acquainted with him at that point of life. My heart was sad over my boyfriend, but it wasn't meant to be if we wasn't on the same page of life.
Life moved on for me and I realized that one day I would believe in God strongly and overcome my own thoughts of life. I believed but so much happen to me from the age of 18 to 21. My dad would go to Heaven and our lifestyle of living would change drastically. I wasn't sure what I believed and what I didn't believe as I enter my college years. I was taught reincarnation in class and it open my mind to even more wonder about life. Separating my own thoughts and time would balance out my head. God would connect my life to others and a new beginning would happen. I would find a real relationship with God and my life changed.
MY BELIEFS ~
I believe in the word of God (Bible)
I hope that your beliefs are with God as well
There came a point in life for me to stand up for what I believed. There also came a point in life for me to stand up for myself. The Bible speaks of putting on the full armor of God. Thinking a new way and protecting our hearts from the enemy of our soul.
Ephesians 6:10-17 English Standard Version
The Whole Armor of God
10 Finally, be strong in the Lord and in the strength of his might. 11 Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the schemes of the devil. 12 For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the cosmic powers over this present darkness, against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly places.
13 Therefore take up the whole armor of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand firm. 14 Stand therefore, having fastened on the belt of truth, and having put on the breastplate of righteousness, 15 and, as shoes for your feet, having put on the readiness given by the gospel of peace.
16 In all circumstances take up the shield of faith, with which you can extinguish all the flaming darts of the evil one; 17 and take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God
The Whole Armor of God ~
It is meant to protect you against the schemes of the devil. We don't often see the division that he tries to put into our lives. It's not always personal with people, but that little divide can separate us from the plan of God. We can read the word, believe it, but it takes actions on each of our parts. We need to guard our hearts and minds. Our own free will can get us into trouble and take us away in thoughts. Keep your mind stayed on God and do the right thing in life.
Frustrations only bring division and temptation happens to each of us in different ways. Our choices not only affect us, but others who love us and care about us. I've made many mistakes in life, but I am thankful for the love of God, my family and friends who lives a daily life with me. Remember, you are never alone unless you choose to be. God is always there and puts people in our lives for purpose. Reach out and find a friend who can share some time with. If that person is not around yet, then pray for real friendships and time with them. It works, I am a living witness to that prayer.
NOW IS THE TIME ~
Take care of you my friend, take care of you!
