John 15:13-17 King James Version (KJV)
13 Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends.
14 Ye are my friends, if ye do whatsoever I command you.
15 Henceforth I call you not servants; for the servant knoweth not what his lord doeth: but I have called you friends; for all things that I have heard of my Father I have made known unto you.
16 Ye have not chosen me, but I have chosen you, and ordained you, that ye should go and bring forth fruit, and that your fruit should remain: that whatsoever ye shall ask of the Father in my name, he may give it you.
17 These things I command you, that ye love one another.
NO GREATER LOVE ~
Than a man lay down his life for his friends
Jesus lived by example to all of us. A man who laid down his life and gave us an example to live by. According to the word of God, there is no greater love that God gave us. Our yes to him will bring life to others as well as ourselves. Let us not forget how God forgives and forgets our mess ups of life. Speak words of encouragement to yourself and let it shine to others. Thinking positive can bring our the best in you.
I love to see how God paints the sky different everyday. Some days has more clouds than others and shape different. The sky can be a light color of pink at times and I love that. Look up and see how God moves in the sky. The cool breeze is an example of how God control the wind and leads into our lives. The heavy winds are sometimes to much for me. Seasons change just like our lives change but God's love remains the same.
1 John 4:16 New International Version (NIV)
And so we know and rely on the love God has for us.
God is love. Whoever lives in love lives in God, and God in them.
I have a favorite song called, "Jesus Loves Me". It has a way to calm my soul and know that God loves me. I was just a kid when I heard that Jesus loves me and it meant so much to me. I have a friend named Connie in Grade School who took me to church. It was in that classroom that I heard Jesus loves me. The teacher gave me a little wooden plaque that said, "JESUS LOVES ME". I cherished that little piece of wood for years. Then we moved and I never saw it again. It was years from being that little kid to growing up that I felt God in my life again.
I was only 18 years old when my dad died. I felt that God did not love me because he took my dad. Someone told me that God needed him more than I did and I never believed that. In searching for answers of life, I found Jesus to become real in my life, but it took years. Sometimes we go through things to see how God kept us safe, well and he draws us back to him by his spirit. I know love the Lord and share hope with others daily. A God who is great and does great things for us. Let us learn to count those blessings daily and share life with others. We need friendships and God to guide us.
My prayers continue for you, your family and friends.
