THE BIBLE SAYS:
2 Timothy 1:7 King James Version (KJV)
For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.
NO FEAR ~
LIVE AND BREATHE IN COURAGE
There are times in life when our faith gets shaken. We drift off that path of trusting God and allow the enemy of our soul to present false evidence to us. That evidence is a mindset in the wrong direction. Allowing fear to creep in and we might not notice it. Before you know it, worry sets into fear. Fear of the unknown and what's going to happen next.
I remember my mom talking about being afraid. I was only a young kid and mom would say things that made me feel fear. For example, she would hear sounds that weren't there. She would not let me play outside because she was afraid I would get hurt. The long list of examples just seem to keep piling up. She told me she believed in God and had faith, yet the fear in her, outweighed the faith in her at times. She might not have understood the scripture about God has not given us the spirit of fear. There is no rest in fear and no hope. The bible continues to say, BUT GOD HAS GIVEN......power, love, and a sound mind.
There is something about giving your heart to God. It becomes a new way of thinking and believing. It doesn't' always happen over night, but a process of growth. Growing to know God in a deeper way and an experience to talk about to others. Inside my heart is determination to be different. A determination to follow a God who leads me, but also my own example matters.
I can blame others for the way I grew up or I can grow up to make a better way of thinking. My life is full of my own choices. Choices that have been right and choices that have been wrong. I made a decisions years ago to live in peace of mind and stop the negative thinking. You have that choice too!
FEAR AND PEACE
You can not have both at the same time
Colossians 3:15-17 King James Version (KJV)
And let the peace of God rule in your hearts, to the which also ye are called in one body; and be ye thankful. 16 Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom; teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord. 17 And whatsoever ye do in word or deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God and the Father by him.
MY CHOICE TO LIVE IN PEACE
We face this new day with hope! I realize we don't know what we will face today, but God does. If we give him our hearts and trust him, he will guide us through this day with divine appointments made by him. If you are in a hard moment of life, please know that I care and my prayers are with you. I know that are some things that just scare us. My granddaughter was scared to go to the dentist. After the appointment, she said, "Grammie why was I scared anyway. It only took 1 minute for the part I didn't like". Then she smiled and happy it was over. It made me think of how we do get nervous facing things, but we must face them. The outcome brings peace when done.
Maybe your example is exactly what someone else needs today. A friendly smile and a word of encouragement goes a long way. We never know if the person we are facing has fear in their heart. Lets us continue to pray for each other and give hope.
My prayers continue for you, your family and friends.
