After writing my blog yesterday on Church Hurts, I received many positive responses. It was a true story and I've learned from each hard circumstance of life. I see the importance of allowing God to use one life.
Proverbs 18:10 New International Version (NIV)
The name of the Lord is a fortified tower;
the righteous run to it and are safe.
It's not to late to begin again in life. Change happens to each of us and what we do in that change matters. The Bible speaks of casting anxiety (stress) on God. In life, I have found that to be easier said than done. How do give something away that is inside your mind? The answer is daily working on it. Daily being determined to change your mindset to breathe. Maybe putting up some post-it- notes for you to read. My daughter (Tracy) taught me over 20 years ago, to put up some positive sentences about my life. I had to choose to cast off those negative words said about me.
Cast all your anxiety on him because he cares for you ~ 1 Peter 5:7 (NIV)
NEWS ~ Fears and Faith can not rest together
2 Timothy 1:7 King James Version (KJV)For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.
NEWS ~ JESUS LOVES YOU
When I start to fear a little scared, I quote this scripture above. God has NOT give me the spirit of fear...God has not given me the spirit of fear...God has not given me the spirt of fear. Quoting three times and then reminding myself what God has given me. God has given power, and of love, and of a sound mind....God has given power, and of love, and of a sound mind...God has given power, and of love, and of a sound mind.
Speaking life to yourself is important and who you view something is important. Somethings in life will never make sense. Somethings in life are truly heartbreak and discouraging. Yet, God is a big God and wants the best for each of us. We must become an overcomer of all things. Living a life free from stress, worry, doubt and adding in hope, love and determination.
I think one problem is, comparing lives to another. I was never meant to be you and you were never meant to be me. I may life is a big house, while you in a small house or you might live that big house and I might live in that small house. I heard this question, "Why do they have everything and I have nothing". My mouth says stop, we don't know their story. We are to write our own story of success and making right choices.
NEWS ~ It's a new day to see what you do have in life
Many people would like to have what you have in life. Even a great attitude about a new day. A new day brings hope of a better day. The weather changes and our mindset must be set on freedom. Freedom of wrong thinking, freedom of being kind to someone else and freedom in God. God can give us the Bible as a roadmap to living and heaven, but it's up to you to open it. When I was a child, you needed a map to get to places. I remember my dad laying a map on our table. Making a route to St. Louis Missouri to see family. We knew what states we needed to go through and what roads to drive on. It took a little time to plan it out and then knowing when to stop and rest.
Let me compare our road trip map to our heaven map now. We must stop and remap our lives at times. Sure this wasn't suppose to happen in our mind, but there is a way out of it. God has a plan bigger than yours or mine. Making right choices is more valuable than you might realize. Your can drive your mind a million miles without leaving a chair! Stop, rethink your day and start it off with I CAN DO ANYTHING...I can allow God to rest in my life and keep a heart of peace. My choices matter what I think upon and so does yours.
My prayers continue for the readers of my blog, your family and friends.
