John 16:20 New International Version (NIV)
Very truly I tell you, you will weep and mourn while the world rejoices. You will grieve, but your grief will turn to joy.
When you are going through a storm of life, you don't always see the outcome. It feels like the worse thing in life but as time moves forward, we look back to see how we made it. Through it all, we can learn to trust in God and lean not to our own understanding. According the word of God, he has a plan even in the worse of times. That almost doesn't make sense to my brain, but I trust God.
Words make such a difference in my life. I posted about my daughter and her family loosing their home and all the material things. A great response from family and friends in encouraging words plus giving them things. I wanted to share a couple of example. A friend posted she knew someone who had lost everything with three boys. A response came back from a stranger. A person who cares and decided to share things. Little did this person know it was a wish from my daughter. She had left her kindle at home and said she wished she would have grabbed it. Today, a friend Tiffany bought over things from her and the person she didn't know really. Inside that bag was clothes for the boys, candy and a table called fire. A answer to a wish today by my daughter. Tiffany, Gabe and boys, thank you for clothes and giving up some toys too.
GOD HEARS THE CRY OF OUR HEART ~
He not only supplies our needs but wants in all seasons of life
Days of the fire and smoke kinda gets to a person. But it is worse for those who loose everything they own. You start to remember the things you had and it hards. My daughter remember today that I had given her my diamond watch. A watch I wanted her to have and gave it to her years ago. It was valued at about $7,000 dollars years ago. I know it would be worth more now. My husband bought it at a special price 35 years ago. Tracy also remembered she had my first wedding ring of 40 years ago. But I said, "it doesn't really matter anymore as long as you guys are safe". Material things, precious memories of item and learning to give thanks for what we do have. Life is precious and more valuable than any item of this world.
MY HEART HURTS ~
For those who lost it all. For those to sit and wait if they need to leave their homes. Some cars are packed and ready to go at a moments notice. Some are sick and need special care. The fire has become our normal with the smoke that over takes us. God, we know that you are able to stop this crazy of normal. We need a new normal now. God help the people who are in shelters and don't know their next step or even if they will have a place to go. So much stress and unsure of what's next in lives. We must rest in you and you can help calm every nerve in people. Help our firefighters and people who haven't sleep much in days.
I woke up this morning to a bing on my phone. Another friend who lost everything and my heart is broken. No names at this point but pray for Sparkie's friends who lost everything too. Thank you for caring and reading my blog. I care about you who read this, your family and friends. My prayers continue and be safe!
