Psalm 30:1-5 English Standard Version (ESV)
Joy Comes with the Morning
A Psalm of David. A song at the dedication of the temple.I will extol you,
O Lord, for you have drawn me up
and have not let my foes rejoice over me.
2 O Lord my God, I cried to you for help,
and you have healed me.
3 O Lord, you have brought up my soul from Sheol;
you restored me to life from among those who go down to the pit.
4 Sing praises to the Lord, O you his saints,
and give thanks to his holy name.
5 For his anger is but for a moment,
and his favor is for a lifetime.
Weeping may tarry for the night,
but joy comes with the morning.
JOY COMES IN THE MORNING ~
A new day brings hope and peace to one's mind
Psalm 42:8 New International Version (NIV)
By day the Lord directs his love,
at night his song is with me--
a prayer to the God of my life.
It is good to give thanks for a new day. It is good to put a song in your heart and pray. I have been through many changes of life and I see the importance of a new day. At the end of the day, you might become weary or just tired but still giving thanks for the day. God said to rest and lean to him everyday of life. It is not always simple to rest, but our bodies needs rest and our minds. I was thinking over my life and I can honestly say God has helped me through the hardest things of life. He always listens and cares about me and cares about you too. He restores my joy when I have seemed to misplaced it.
Psalm 51:12 New International Version (NIV)
Restore to me the joy of your salvation
and grant me a willing spirit, to sustain me.
I see the value in keeping your mindset on God and all his promises. Maybe life hasn't turned out like you thought it would, but it continues to change. Each of us continue to change daily and in those changes, we must stay positive. Positive that God is able to handle our now and our future. Looking back at how God helped in my younger years, helps me to help others now. On the outside, life can look fun and you wish you were someone else over Facebook. Honestly, everybody has a story of sad times and good times. As my anniversary approaches tomorrow, I can see how God has kept his hand on my marriage and family. Terry and I had some hard years and struggles of life. I will write more about that tomorrow as it is our 41st anniversary. Today, I see how blessings has came into our marriage. Life is so full of ups, downs and curves. Holding tight to God is what has kept us strong and continues to keep us strong.
