He has the most popular children's books according to the dictionary. Simple rhymes and remembered by many. When I think of Dr. Seuss, it brings a smile to my face. I remember the book titled, "Green Eggs and Ham". I enjoy reading with my granddaughters. They know it most of it by heart. I know that someday they won't sit on my lap and read this book anymore. They will grow up and I cherish moments I have with them.
MOMENTS ~
There is another children's book called, "BIBLE". When my granddaughter (Brookley) was asked to bring her favorite book to school, she chose her children's Bible. Over time, stories are interest and can guide us in many ways. Some books are just frictional and interesting to read. Brookley is learning stories and it becomes time to separate true stories or fictional stories. What is real and not real in life.
BIBLE: REAL
2 Corinthians 4:13-18 New International Version (NIV)It is written: “I believed; therefore I have spoken.” Since we have that same spirit of faith, we also believe and therefore speak, 14 because we know that the one who raised the Lord Jesus from the dead will also raise us with Jesus and present us with you to himself. 15 All this is for your benefit, so that the grace that is reaching more and more people may cause thanksgiving to overflow to the glory of God.
16 Therefore we do not lose heart. Though outwardly we are wasting away, yet inwardly we are being renewed day by day. 17 For our light and momentary troubles are achieving for us an eternal glory that far outweighs them all. 18 So we fix our eyes not on what is seen, but on what is unseen, since what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal.
MOMENTS ~
There are times that change us from the inside. Happy moments of life and we can remember the joy of being alive. The joy of being a kid and just having one book read to us. I wasn't a kid who was read to and I find reading hard at times. I was a kid who just wanted time with others. I often felt like an invisible kid. Often told to go to my room to play or do homework. I look back at many moments and wish I had a different childhood but I will remember moments. Moments that changed me into who I am today and I will forever remember good times too.
Years have gone by and now I'm an adult. Still dealing with alone moments in life. I don't like sitting in a room alone most of the time. I have moments I want to speak to God, pray and read. Moments often change our lives in a positive way. Looking up inside the eyes of hope and cherishing moments forever. Remember the day that you gave your heart to God and you felt a joy in your heart.
Matthew 18:2-4 New Living Translation (NLT)
2 Jesus called a little child to him and put the child among them. 3 Then he said, “I tell you the truth, unless you turn from your sins and become like little children, you will never get into the Kingdom of Heaven. 4 So anyone who becomes as humble as this little child is the greatest in the Kingdom of Heaven.
Little children believe big and speak their minds. They are learning words to say and words not to say. As we continue to read the Bible, it speaks on how Jesus called a little child. After we surrender our hearts to God, it begins the process of change. Don't expect big changes with all the answers, but a daily change and time to grow in God. It takes reading and listening even as an adult.
A CHILD OF GOD ~
No matter what your age is, you will always be a CHILD of God. He wants you to come to him and receive his goodness and words of promises into your life. Humble yourself and turn your life over to God. Moments that change us forever and the promise of Heaven.
Don't live life in regrets of yesterdays! Wishing you had spent more time with someone and moments you can not get back. Cherish the moments you did have or do get. Learning to balance your time, our thoughts and even your actions is important.
Value time and spend it well
Invest in yourself and that will spread to others. Life is short and valuable. Each day we learn, we grow and we become better people. Choices are important and you are important. God has a great plan for your life and just as the clock ticks away, so does our time here on earth. Your example is seen far more than you might realize.
Never doubt that God has put all your yesterdays together and leads you into today! My prayers continue for you, your family and friends.
